I think we're supposed to get a number from a number of card, for example, 4 and a 5 would equal 9, jacks, queens, and kings equals 10 and ace equal 11. I guessing here, but a book I read said, that 21 always wins, so that is probably the number"

"how do you know its not some other game, it could be poker, solitair, or go fish for all we know" she said spreading the cards out so every single one could be seen "oh course if it was blackjack then I could just make that cards match up to a win like this" maybe telling him that I cheat all the  time would be bad she thought

"Cheaters never win...and winners never cheat..." A voice whispered from somewhere. It wasn't Discord. This time, the number had to be exactly 21. If they were under, they were given another chance. However, as stated before, if they went over, the consequence would be great.

There was a small chance. Because there were four suits and one of every number, the chance was 1/52, so this pick definitely had to be an Ace. The ponies had to hope and pray that the next card was an ace, or the consequence was great. "One card..." The voice stated.

"I thought we set aces as ace high, you better put that back in here" she points to the deck then looks at her cards which was a king and a 5 "15...screw it" she pulls a 2 "17...come on four!" she pulls an ace "can we change ace high to low? if we don't I think were screwed" she tries to put her cards in the deck hoping for the best.

"One more chance...that's it..." A voice stated. Usually, there wouldn't be any redos since this was Discord's game and Discord's rules, but because he was reformed, that spark of friendship showed inside him, thus granting the ponies a second chance to draw the right cards that would equal 21.

Madness placed his cards back into the pile and pulled out two cards, a 3 and a 5

 

that's 8 

 

then a 4

 

that's 12, hopefully I get an 9, or cards that equals 9.

 

He reached for the deck and pulled out a 9, he sighed with relief, and set the cards down, and grabbed some of the bits and stuffed them in his cloak

 

that's 21 and I think I'll take some bits for us winning.

"Hold it right there..." The voice said. "You passed the first challenge, but there's one more. This time, three cards will already be provided for you...you must find the last card and make it 21..." The voice stated. The deck was reset. Two cards were given to them face down.

"Hmm... well that's a good idea, but witch one is it?" She asked "maybe if there was a cake lever or cupcake lever then we could go with that" she said, she then looked at the levers "well there is an algaitor... claw? And I remember hearing that pinkie has a pet algaitor, but then again that could be wrong" she said

Cresent saw the lever she was talking about.

"that would make sense, a good puzzled dosent have the answer in plain sight unless its under a few layers" he then blinked at what he just thought out loud "but arnt dragons and alligators claws the same?" he asked out loud half talking to Hydragon half thinking out loud.  

"Then again im not sure if discords one for cupcakes but then again if it is I think a visit to Suger Cube Cornor would help solve what ever  trap happens...whats your favorite flavor?" he asked hydragon now looking at her again

Then with an determined wiggle and finaly satisfying pull, the alligator lever was pulled to hear another "click"

"That's good thinking," Refund complimented Dapper as he looked the deck over again. He plucked every diamond and studied them, pressing a hoof against his chin. He had only heard of Rarity from her heroics along with the rest of the Elements of Harmony whenever they saved Equestria. What he saw in pictures and heard about her otherwise was limited. "What about Rarity?" he asked. "She's the Element of Generosity. Doesn't she have diamonds as her cutie mark?"

 

Dapper thought about it, "Yeah she does have diamonds as her cutie mark," said Dapper as he looked over the cards as well. "Wait, if I'm not mistaken her cutie mark has three diamonds. Right? So what if the card we need to solve this room is the three of diamonds?"

There were four clicks, that came one after another. Then there was silence. It looked as if a trap would go off. But, there was one final click, and the switch with the levers turned and stopped. The door opened. Up ahead was a very trippy hallway, with a sort of hypnotizing checkered pattern.

There were four clicks, that came one after another. Then there was silence. It looked as if a trap would go off. But, there was one final click, and the switch with the levers turned and stopped. The door opened. Up ahead was a very trippy hallway, with a sort of hypnotizing checkered pattern.  

cresent breathed out seeing the door open expecting something to jump out, to see the hallway he went from tense to relaxed to confusion seeing the trippy hall way.

"ok ether we are running on luck or pinki's pies are awesome" said the batpony

 

looking more into the hallway he felt a little dizzy yet drawn towards it more. He shook his head trying to clear it out. Looking at Hydragon he said "don't suppose you have good pair of shades on you?"

(This has to be the right card,) Dapper thought to himself as he looked at the card in his hoof. "Second times the charm," he said as he pressed the card against the door.

he paused feeling himself getting sucked into one of the patterned walls in the hallway he shook his head.

 

"ill just follow you with my eyes closed its help me chase other ponys and things if I just listen to you with my eyes closed" he said. he closed his eyes and started to walk behind the mare  

 

"once more onto the breech" he said smilling

 

After all it wasn't the first maze he got lost in before

The card lit up on the door and there were five clicks. The door opened slowly to reveal a room full of mirrors. It was a mirror maze. Not just any maze, but a timed mirror maze. It wasn't that they had to get through the maze, but after a certain amount of time, change would happen.

"as too how I wound up here discord sent me a letter inviting to play his games. If I win he'll help me with my brothers murderor on finding him, as to growing up..do you want the long or short story?" he asked still listening to her bloodbeat and if any other gadget/animal that'll pop out at them
