sweetolebob18 728 September 17, 2015 Share September 17, 2015 They are the Elements of Harmony, not the Elements of Sweetness & Light, nor the Elements of Justice. It may be just to punish your sister because she has turned evil, but it is not harmonious. IMO, Luna lost her elements because her personality shifted when she turned evil. Celestia lost hers because she forced them to act against their nature. Why didn't Celestia just use them to reform Luna? As shown in Return of Harmony, they can be used by almost anyone but the closer you stick to each element's purpose the more powerful the elements are. Celestia didn't control Luna's elements + probably wasn't feeling a great deal of friendship at that time (having someone try to kill you will do that).
