he started moving again, everypony in tow, "lets see if the everfree forest can offer any more adventures eh?"

Electrobolt let out a chuckle as he nodded. "Let's see if we can't get in a little more adventure before we leave the forest," he spoke, turning around to look at the ruins one more time.

midnight smiled, "oh, im sure, this is the everfree forest after all." he chuckled and fell in step with electrobolt,

"oh hey, ive been meaning to ask, what does your cutie mark mean.....n-not that ive been......buck, ill just shut up now."

Draft shook his head.

"Seriously, does everypony have a weapon?"

He made a quick note with his quill and tucked it back behind his ear.

midnight looked back at draft, "do you?"

When Midnight had asked about what his cutie mark meant, Electrobolt let out a light sigh. "You know..." he began. "I don't really understand myself... It just appeared one day, and I don't even know when it appeared either... It just... Appeared without me noticing..."

midnight tilted his head, "really? ....." he looked back at it then back at electros face "its....interesting actually, what is it anyway?"

Electrobolt let out another sigh as he responded, "I... Don't really know, to be honest... I mean, I certainly haven't seen anything like it before in my life..." He then looked at his cutie mark and then back to Midnight, a tiny smile showing on his face. "I don't really mind though, to be honest. I was teased by others in my class when I was younger for not having a cutie mark, but as soon as I got one, the teasing ended."

"i can sympothyze with that, although i never stepped a hoof outside in my colthood, i dont know if i ever told you or anypony, but i was coltnapped barely a week after i was born, the cult that ponynapped me raised me, though i escaped at the age of 7 and ended up in ponyville,"

he smiled shyly, "i went to school of course, but i just did the classwork and went home, nothing else, i really didnt have any friends until i met jade, and then you guys."

Electrobolt's eyes widened at the news he had just heard. "Wait, you had been coltnapped a week from birth?" he asked, shocked. "So you don't even know who your parents are??"

"well, i do.....well, an idea of where they might be." he smiled sadly, "yes, i was coltnapped." then looked down, "so what are your parents like?"

"You think you know where your parents are?" Electrobolt asked, surprised by the news in a good way. He then shook his head when he was asked what his parents were like. "Well," he began. "They're very nice. They always found a way to cheer me up when I was feeling down, and they kept telling me I'd find something that would get me my cutie mark. In fact, that's how I realized I got my cutie mark..."

 

He looked back at his cutie mark for the second time. "When I returned home, they didn't tell me what they usually told me when I didn't have a cutie mark. Instead, they just smiled and told me they were proud of me. I was confused at first, before I looked back and noticed I had a cutie mark." He let out a small sigh as he added, "I still wish I knew what my cutie mark meant, though..."

midnight smiles, "you'll figure it out eventually, i didnt realize i had my cutie mark until days later," he chuckled "it was kinda odd, really, i didnt even bother to check until jade pointed it out to me."

he shook his head, "thats why i wanted to stop by stalliongrad if we were in the area." he smiled, and looked at the ground "ahh but listen to me ramble, dont mind me."

When Starry heard Midnight's story, she responded "Oh my, that's so sad, it's.... almost as sad as... my experience, um, nevermind, I-..I don't want to talk about it, it's too much for me." She stopped for a second, trying to calm herself down, "Forgive me, I tend to be sad a lot, I wasn't like this before"

midnight smiled "its no problem starry." he continued down the path then came to another, "jeeze. how many paths are there?" he decided to take the left path this time.

"Yay we ae going the left path this time! Right?" Zarely followed Midnight " Does anypony know hwen are we getting to Canterlot?" she asked.

midnight chuckled "again as a great doctor once said, i have no idea," he smiled, "but i think were getting close to the edge of the everfree though......i think"

Electrobolt let out a chuckle when Midnight did that quote again, still smiling some. His excitement had calmed down, even though he was looking forward to the bow lessons. Still following close to the group, he looked around the surrounding area, watching for tree branches and more of the devils roots.

"Goodie because we got to go for the other ponies in Canterlot!" Zarely said Thinking about how on Equestria would they be able to get out of the forest. No ideas came to mind, she will just have to follow the group.

he smiles then stops, "hold on," the path ahead was blocked by heavy looking vines, and underbrush, "lemmie just take care of this."

pulls out the katana, "well, this thing might be useful after all." and began cutting down vines and branches, about halfway though he stops and breaths "5 years ive had this thing and never had to sharpen it." he laughs "probibly something to do with the enchanted blade." picking it up he began cutting once more.

"In-Incredible, oh yeah, I heard that a meteor might be crashing around this area, but it's nothing to worry about, it's just a small rock that will come down, er- how do I know? I'm an astronomer! ehehehe," Stary said

Cloud was pretty silent during the trip, mostly keeping a sharp ear out for any danger. It wasn't for his own life he was keeping watch, but for the ponies he was with. So far only he and Midnight were the only ones who were used to danger. "Impressive blade" said Cloud to Midnight. At the mention of a meteorite, he raised an eyebrow, "And you didn't tell us sooner why"

midnight cut through the last of the vines and brush then puth the sword back, "thanks, and umm, about this meteorite, how big?"

" Oh I didn't know you could use a katana!" said Zarely amazed when Midnight took out his katana. " A meteor! What?! YAY!" Zarely was excited she had never seen a meteor before. She walked through the vines that were cut."Let's go!" she said.
