Scare Effect sat in the back of the wagon as it was being pulled by a large Earth pony wearing royal guard armor. Where is he taking me, Scare thought as she watched trees zoom past, grabbing her small statue tightly when the wagon stopped in front of a medium sized cottage. the guard motioned for Scare to get out of the wagon who nodded timidly and got out of the wagon. the stallion walked toward the cottage door and knocked  it was answered by a Bright yellow earth pony with a short pink mane who began talking to the stallion.

 

Scare tuned them out and looked at the other kids running around playing in the yard.

"Ms. Scare Effect this is your new home so be good for miss Posey." The guard said with a smile and left.

"So nice to meet you Scare Effect I will show you to your room then i will introduce you to everypony else." Posey said before leading Scare in to the cottage.

Deep in the Dark Forest was a small cave that served as the prison to the Villain known as Fear she sat in her prison. "Nine Days till I get my revenge."

Banner sat there thinking of things to do, reading was all she had done for a while and wanted to do something else. She looked at the playing ponies and sighed, these ponies probably think of as some outcast she thought as she saw a new pony near the cottage. maybe I could be friends with this pony she thought walking towards the Posey and the filly "I can help with introduction if you want" she said putting on her most confident face

"What a wonderful Idea Banner. This here is Scare Effect and she will be sharing a room with you while she stays here." Posey said smiling at Banner. "How about you two go run and play while i go set up your bed Scare. Have fun." Posey says smiling as she enter's the house.

 

"um hello my name is Scare Effect nice to meet you." Scare said in a monotone voice due to her being nervous, hugging her stone figure tighter.

"well I guess I should get used to you if I'm going to sleep in the same room" she walks toward the others but slow so she could ask her a few things "whats that thing your holding on to? It looks like something I read in a book, but I dought its a voodoo doll though" she reached a point where the others could notice her but waited to call out to them untill after she answered

"No he isn't a voodoo doll he is my friend Everest he looks out and protects me from monsters." Scare said with a smile showing Banner her stone figurine. "And since you are my friend he will protect you too." Said before several of the other foals were looking in their direction.

Mist looked up from the book he was reading to see two ponies standing near the front of the house. He recognised one of the ponies although he didn't know her name. The other he didn't recognise so he assumed she was new. (I should probably go say hi,) Mist thought to himself. So he closed the book and walked up to the two ponies. He extended his hoof to the new pony, "Hello, my name is Mist Twister, welcome," he said welcomely.

"Well it's nice to meet you too," said Mist who retracted his hoof, "you don't have to be afraid. I may look grim but I promise I don't bite." Mist smiled and turned to the pony Scare Effect was hiding behind, "If you need any help showing this one around just let me know." Mist turned back to Scare, "You're gonna love this place Scare." said Mist as he turned to leave, "trust me." Mist left the two ponies and returned to reading his book.

"yeah I was kind of scared of him when I first came here" she said to Scare then saw the green lights in the stone figure "why is that happening? oh nevermind intruductions first, you others want to talk to my new friend?" she said to all the kids around them "its not like she will be some super villain of the world some day"

Flamestreak was mind- numbingly bored. There was absolutely nothing to do other then read a book, but he had already read all of his a thousand times and was just now getting tried of them. To pass time flame had Been messing with his wings abit an preening them when he thought no one was looking. During that time he spotted a group of ponies gathered around near his seat. He originally hesitated , he wasn't a pony to speak unless spoken too. But in this situation he prefered it over tasting his wings all day. 

 

"What's up everyone? What's going on here?" Flame said.

cresent turned back and forth in his new bed. He still wasn't getting used to the place mostly do to the constent moveing around the young colt had been used to till he got here. His folks dumped him here saying it would be a while and to be safe, half angry at the lack of answers and half cranky with the sleep he decided this spot wasn't working for him. He rose from the messed up bed and headed for the door to explore the new home he's been dumped into

cresent aproched the colt curiously and cautiously "hey you all right?" he asked not sure what to do but knowing its better then ignoring an pony who was hurt by something that made him steem like this in the first place "I don't think dragons are near by but man you must have made something mad" he said trying to find a joke to help the colt out

Posey was in the cottage making lunch for the fillies and colts when she looked out the window She saw a strange colt wander into the yard. rushed out of the cottage and approached him motioning for the children to give him space. "You all go back to what you were doing i am gonna take the colt inside so he can rest." Posey said leading the small colt into the cottage.

Metus* sat in her prison watching a curious manticore approach her prison, it had the look of hunger as it slowly stalked toward her. but stopped when it spotted the wide grin on her face. "Come here little kitty i have a job for you." She said with a wide grin.

Scare looked at Flamestreak then to the empty spot on the ground that he was talking to. "Um are you okay the colt was led inside by Posey and you seem to be talking to the ground." Scare shook her head then tapped Banner's shoulder, "Can you show me around some more I think everypony is distracted by the appearance of that colt."

"sure, you are new after all and I like to help new ponies" she cleared her throat "welcome to Banner's tour around the orphanage, this is the play ground as you already know but inside we have a play room, are bedrooms and a kitchen, there is an up stairs were not aloud to go up there because its where Posey does her adult things...by the way only me and the other more grown up kids can go into the kitchen, I bet you want to see the places though" she leads her inside to the play/living room that had a few shelf's of books, some toys on the floor, a couch and sofa, finally a record player on a coffee table. "which place do you want to go to next? kitchen? bedroom? or the bathroom in the hall?" she joked

In the forest the manticore watched the children it's eyes glowed red, it was being controlled by Metus it sniffed the air. so one of my old friends still lives but how? Its been ten thousand years maybe Celestia  kept her alive but why, Doesn't matter i get the pleasure of killing her myself, Metus thought to herself as she willed the manticore back into the woods.

"well then its this way" she leads them to a hall that had 6 doors, 5 extension of the house rooms that made the bedrooms and a bathroom she walks to her room which is the very last one to the right where she opened the door. The room had two beds that looked exactly the same, a dresser, a mirror and a bag that had Banner written on it "its a little bare but its a nice room...that bed was not there before by the way" she points to the on on the right of the room

Flamestreak squinted a bit and realized nopony was there. "What I swear I just saw a pony fall an.." Flame looked back up and Saw the two ponies that were talking to him were now gone. "I might have a doctor check me out, I think I'm seeing things." He said bewildered at the disappearances.

"I'm... Okay..." The colt states, exhausted, his cloak fluttering out of the way, allowing a cutie mark to be glimpsed, brown being a dominate color, before it's shrouded once more. The cloak settles once again, as he unsteadily gets back to his hooves.

"I'll... Be fine... Wha-" He suddenly stops talking, slipping back to laying down where he was set, with a loud thump.

"Is there... A medic?" His thick voice inquires between gasps of exhausted breath to any who would listen, his eyes filled with a pleasant warmth, gazing into any present.

I mean you might as well try to get used to the place" she said walking out the door seeing Posey trying to get the hurt child up stairs but failing as the colt tried to gt up and walk on his own and failed at that too "I'll get the first aid kit" she looked around and saw Banner down the hall "look after him until I get back, it shouldn't be two long to find where I placed the medkit again" she went up stairs as Banner walked to the colt "is there anything you need? I could get you some juice"

I look up at you, eyes embarassed.

"Perhaps, a bit of healing for the burns... Otherwise, I should get better with some bedrest..." His expression is weak, completely defenseless. It casts an odd contrast to his eyes, full of something you've only seen in war veterans. It's so distracting, that you hardly noticed him ask a question.

"huh? did you say something? what ever you said just know that Posey will be back in a little bit, I give it three minutes tops" Banner says looking at the stairs to see Posey come down the stairs with a medium size med-kit  "don't worry I got you, can you tell me your name? or what you were doing out there" she got out bandages and started covering burns
