RainbowBobSquareDash 76 September 24, 2015 Share September 24, 2015 I don't know why but, my buddies and I watched "Equwstria Girls" last weekend and my buddy Alex says "Dude, Did Hasbro Just Copy SpongeBob?" I said "I Don't really care honestly. Its a good movie." My other buddy James said "Well, I Can Safely Say That, Hasbro Copied SpongeBob." In my opinion I just don't really care. I just want to watch a good movie and not care who copied what.
Jeremiah 1,586 September 24, 2015 Share September 24, 2015 I don't see the comparison... EQG1 had a 'highscool' setting (which is over-used but who cares) and the SpongeBob The Movie (2004) was set on the beach. There very different other from a few things, both did had to retrive a crown for reasons. But other the goal of the character wanted to achieve the movies are different. (To some degree)
Lunar Echo 10,335 September 24, 2015 Share September 24, 2015 (edited) I do not see the similarities, sorry. They're both different in my head, I don't know how one could think they're one in the same. Edited September 24, 2015 by Lunar Echo
Jeric 46,851 September 24, 2015 Share September 24, 2015 The only similarity is royal head ornamentation as a MacGuffin.

Sunset188 193 September 25, 2015 Share September 25, 2015 Idk man I just really don't see it.... I personally don't like the SpongeBob movie that much (mostly because it doesn't have enough Squidward and he makes the show for me haha)
LHfunk 422 September 25, 2015 Share September 25, 2015 The only similarity that isn't weird and deeply involved and actually there is that they went to retrieve crowns after someone stole it. Literally nothing else.
Singe 2,111 September 26, 2015 Share September 26, 2015 Both movies are exploring a world outside their locale. Mass mind control by the villain.
Captain Trek 32 September 26, 2015 Share September 26, 2015 Did they back this absurd claim up in any way whatsoever? Or was their only evidence, "because I say so"? What an incredibly bizarre thing to say...
BlinkZ 1,151 September 26, 2015 Share September 26, 2015 Yeah...your freind is wrong, they have nothing in common other hten rerive crown. Two VARY differnt plots and journeys. Hardly he same or copied. Zubric(fimfiction)
