searching The Great Equestrian Divide (War)

Equestria has been divided into many warring states and a war for the Harmony Throne has broken out. Caesar Flash Fire Augustus sits upon the Canterlot Throne ready defend it to the last Stallion. Empress Cadance of the Crystal Empire plans on placing herself on the Throne while Celestia and Luna, with support from King Ruby of Prance, gather forces in Prance to take back Equestria. Jarl Vurgas of Griffdom wants to take Equestria for himself and sees this divide as his chance to take it. Many other independent states prepare themselves for the Tidal Wave of war that is imminent. Who shall claim the Harmony Throne and unite Equestria, which Dynasty shall rule the great super power until the next Era.

The Roleplay will take place after the events of the show. The RPers will be members of a small group of Celestian (or Augustus, Cadance, or Griffin if you want to be) Loyalists lead by Celestia herself. Their goal is to fight through everything between them and the Canterlot throne to put Celestia (or who ever you are loyal to) back on it. The Tech period is early gunpowder, with late plate armor, arquebuses, early cannons, ect. Think of late 15th century Europe for Celestia, Cadance and Prance, the Griffon vikings with Danish axes and Mail armor and the Augustus Legions armed with a gladii and Roman Armor. The beautiful fields and forests of Central Equestria was now covered in blood and the corpses of ponies, crystal ponies, and Griffons alike. Who will rule Equestria? You decide.

She has blue eyes and Her Cutie Mark is exactly like her father's (and every other Chronos before her), a Shield with an Hourglass on it. She wears golden Steel plate armor, the Armor of the Elite Celestian Royal Guard. On her back is the Celestian royal standard, the Sun.

I'm interested if I can man my own faction.

 

I'm thinking of a joint alliance between Changelings and Nocturnes (bat ponies) called the white fang. They see the war as the death knell for the land. The conflict will drain Equestria of resources, and damage the environment beyond repair. Outside of Changelings and Nocturnes, they'll also be working with Ponies & griffons dissatisfied with their current rulers, as well as support from any other races or nations effected by the war, such as Diamond Dogs, Minotaurs & Yaks. Whomever wins the war will just plunder the spoils of a dying land, and doom all other life to a battle scarred wasteland once known as Equestria.  If Equestria collapses, the entire continent could be driven to instability, and they know it.

 

So they'll work together to sabotage all other war efforts, striking from the shadows and waging guerrilla warfare. An anarchistic campaign of terrorism, forcing the armies involved to face a faceless enemy, such as the Vietcong, the IRA or the French Resistance. An order of assassins, guerrilla fighters and mobsters, who in their mind, are fighting to save all those that the warring powers are willing to destroy in the name of victory. Yet ultimately, they just want to be seen as heroes, so they wont be vilified as much when they feed off the populace (in more ways than one).

Even though that sounds, extremely awesome. I am going to have to reject the idea. Also the war isn't a war to take over the land, but more of a war off succession. If some groups win, yes Equestria will no longer be Equestria but for most groups at least most of Equestria will remain Equestria.
