violet blinked, at the suddenly sliding, before she was launched off. she caught herself in midair, looking down at him.

"hey...why aren't ya using your sword?" she asked, upon noticing the sheathed blade, still keeping herself aloft.

Xiang watched as Violet caught herself in midair, and halted his attack as she hovered there and questioned his lack of using the dao sword sheathed on his back.

"You do not seem to possess one," he called up to her, "And I feel a weapon on an unarmed opponent would give me an unfair advantage. I prefer to fight on equal plains, out of respect."

@@P-Jay,

Yuki turned back to Zenru, and responded, "I am here traveling around my normal routes and selling jewelry as I normally do. i currently am stopping in her in Bangcolt before I move onto the next city and sell more."

She approached her rental home, opened the door, and walked inside, "Here we are."

Cloud Chaser paused after kicking another thug in the gut, just in time to see Lightning zap one of them with...well, lightning.

"That was so cool!" She chirped, before turning back to kick the same thug in the face.

"Well, that was fun!"

Lightning examined the room, and thought to himself Damn, we messed this place up! He then noticed whimpering coming from behind the counter. He looked over to see the waiter hiding there, shaking like crazy.

"Hey waiter, is that food ready yet? No? That's okay, we can wait."

She hopped into the booth and hit Lightning with a grin. "You're a pretty good fighter!"

"What?" Twilight's eyes opened wide in confusion as she tried to figure out why Starlight Glimmer had changed so suddenly, but nothing to came to her. Had she been playing all along?

"But, I thought that's what you wanted. To be friends. Why else would you come out here, follow me all the way to Bangcolt, come talk to me again? What were you looking for?" Twilight took a step back; had an uneasy suspicion, one whose thought formed an icy ball in the pit of her stomach. The feeling that she'd somehow walked into a trap...

A shield appeared in the air around Anette, blocking any further attacks from happening until it was broken. From the open, still swinging door, a fourth doll flew out, fuming savagely.

"Glory..." Anette smiled, and the doll briefly teleported into the shield with her. Appearing in a puff of smoke, her right eye twitching slightly, she reached out her hoof, smacking Anette upside the head.

"Ow..." Anette grimaced slightly, holding her stinging head tenderly. "I know, I know, it was stupid of me. I'm sorry." The other three dolls moved around Bowie, floating along with him in a three point circle.

@The Down Trotten

Celestia had just sat down, ready to attend to the latest threat to her personal security; a several foot high stack of legal documents, freshly imported from Canterlot. Celestia, despite herself, sighed; it seemed even here on vacation, she still had a ton of work to do. In that regard, the knock on the door would by far be the most interesting thing to happen to her. Celestia, once again despite herself, moved quicker than was royally acceptable in her haste to answer it.

Celestia opened up the door with a light burst of telekinesis, promptly blinking in surprise once she discovered who was on the other end.

"Rhetoric Rash!" Celestia smiled brilliantly at the earth pony she had just recently met in the arena, then turned to his unicorn friend, who looked for all the world like she'd rather be anywhere else.

"And who is this?"

Starlight took a few moments to catch her breath, and take in what Twilight was saying. Now she was confused.

Did Twilight truly regret what she did to Starlight's town? She didn't know anymore.

"I came here for revenge," She explained, "To get back at you for ruining my life! You and your friends just waltzed into our home when we weren't hurting anypony, and you had to take it all away! Why?!"

Tears began to form in her eyes. "Why am I even telling you this?! You have no idea what it's like to have the world take everything away from you when you did nothing wrong!"

Stubbing his toe on the shield he wheeled about in panic. Now this was a problem. Out numbered, and obviously outmatched, it the cut his losses time.

"You fool! How many time do I have to tell you!? Don't bite off more then you can chew? You'll choke you dummy!"

Back against the magical barrier "So? Who'd you piss of exactly, the puppet masters union? Kind of an unfair gig if you get what I'm saying"

Looking for a means of escape he made a daring brake for Anette's house. Probably the last place they were expecting him to go anyway, besides maybe he could jump back into this ring, or maybe remove the arrow sticking out of his shoulder.

Rolling under one of the three dolls he sprinted on all fours. He wasn't running away, more of a tactical retreat. he always was a suborn dog

"Allow me to lay all the cards out on the table so that there is no miss understanding. This is the unicorn that stole your Neices magic... However" he quickly added  "once you hear her tail, I know you will understand, and as her peaceful arrival here with me proves. She truly does not want to harm anyone. @@Unicorncob,

The four remaining prospects followed Tricis out of the cave with jade being the closest to her. The young unicorn was directly behind jade, still nursing his knife wound. Feather was behind him, his broken sword strapped to his back, and behind him was Cumulus.

One of the two stallions in front or behind of Feather had to be the creature. Even with it narrowed down to two possibilities, Feather couldn't determine who it was. Patch had killed his opponent, then again that wasn't against the rules. There was no word as to whether Ember survived her fight with Cumulus as well.

They ended their walk at the top of a hill only a few minutes from the mouth of the cave. The walk was silent. No one felt like talking.

The top of the hill was a plateau slightly smaller than the one they had ended the second trial at. There was a small, swampy pond and a rotting tree trunk that had died many years ago, but aside from that, there was only grass. There weren't even any bugs or animals at the top of the hill. It was as silent as a graveyard.

Feather Weave started to tremble like he was out in freezing temperatures, but the weather was mild. After Jade observed a bit more, she saw that Patch and Cumulus seemed uncomfortable as well. She was beginning to feel it too, an eery chill that felt like something was gripping her heart ever so lightly. She had felt the same feeling in the dark forest, but this was stronger.

"Master Tricis, What happened here?" Feather asked.

Tricis, who seemed to be the only pony not bothered, answered, "To tell you the truth, I don't really know. Long before my time, something happened here to tear the veil between this world and the next. All of the creatures you encountered in the forest came from here. At this grove, your spiritual power will be at the strongest level your body's can take. You may be tired, but right now, at this moment, the four of you are the strongest you've ever been. Here is where the final fights will take place."

@Star Saber@Unicorncob

Twilight visibly shrunk back from the raw emotion coming from Starlight Glimmer; she had expected anything but tears. "No... you're right." Twilight dropped her head, having nothing more to say on that note.

"I've worked hard to be where I was, but i've never had anything truly taken from me. I can't claim to understand what you're going through."

Twilight lifted her head up suddenly, looking directly at Starlight Gimmer.

"But, how could you claim that you weren't wrong? Don't tell me you couldn't see the anger on those ponies faces. The fear. Long before me and my friends ever showed up. Isn't that why you had secret security? Why you looked them in those rooms? Starlight, you know that they weren't happy, even wearing those enormous smiles on their faces. And yet, you forced them too anyway. I don't know if you thought one day they would believe it or not, but you were terrorizing them. It was wrong. And so were you."

Twilight sighed audibly.

"Starlight. I'm sorry for hurting you. I'm sorry for all of that time you must've spent in the mountains and Equestria knows where else, with no one and nothing except your own anger. But, i'm not sorry for freeing those ponies from Your Town. Nor am I going to fight you." She lit up her horn with a burst of magic, causing a violet bubble to form around Nightingale. With yet another spell, she teleported her inside, to where she'd be secured until the guards came inside. Or, Twilight dimly noted, she stopped using her magic. But she stepped back from Starlight anyway, closing her eyes.

"This is where you decide, Starlight, which pony you want to be. One who uses fear control, and hatred to get what she wants? Or one who truly starts to understand what a friend is? A pony who looks out for and cares for the interests of others, and still cares, even if, sometimes, they make mistakes." Twilight took a deep, shuddering breath, but stood stock still.

"Make your choice."

Anette tilted her head to the side, and shrugged at Glory, who shrugged back; the action was equally confusing to her too. While the red doll stayed outside, cackling softly in amusement, the brown doll and the violet doll both began floating into the house, swords and bows drawn respectively. They took opposite ends of the house, trying to track down the intruder as fast as possible.

"Stole my... what now?" Celestia blinked openly for a moment, her eyes reflecting pure confusion. They narrowed slightly in serious, however, when she realized that this wasn't a prank. There was something serious here, and it needed to be dealt with immediately.

"Come with me." She escorted them inside, immediately directing them to her room, and shut the door behind her.

Thirty minutes later, when Terra had finished relaying all of the relevant details to her, Celestia dropped back in her seat, shocked. So many things she'd been unaware of....

And one piece of solemn information she had yet to give.

"Terra, I am sorry. This spell was not made by myself or Primcess. Just as well, it is more complex than either of us have ever experienced in a spell before. We will not be able to remove it; i'm sorry."

Terra looked ready to cry.

Starlight stared long and hard at Twilight, but she was listening. She had no idea why she did what she did. Why she brainwashed those ponies to giving up their cutie marks.

"A cutie mark took my best friend away, Twilight Sparkle," She admitted, unable to stop her emotions from flowing out. Tears were streaming from her eyes already, so what was the point in hiding anything? "As soon as he got it, he moved on to bigger, better things. While I was left behind, blank-flanked."

Her eyes narrowed as she glared the princess down. "While you and your friends' cutie marks just brought you all closer together. You have no idea how unfair it is. You made friends with your cutie marks, while I lost a dear one.

"That's why I did what I did, Twilight Sparkle," she continued, choking back a sob, "that's why I set up My Town. So that nopony else could go through the same pain and heartbreak that I did!"

Not even a clue what this voice could be, who could it belong too. "I'm afraid I can't accuse Terra of her actions, and I may help her..." he knew it wasn't entirely right, but his sense of personal justice was clouding his better judgment and his voice was shaking in heated emotion

"Princess, please I beg you, there must be something, anything" he never realized just how much he, or rather the collective "he" relied on her. somehow he had fooled himself into thinking he had a certain independence.

"Yes, excellent!" Jade heard Patch say. He was glowing slightly, radiating blue. She could see his energy! "I can already feel the energy flowing through me! My wound hurts much less now!"

Upon further observation, the other prospects were glowing as well, though they weren't as bright as Patch. Feathers aura was a darker blue while cumulus' was green.

Jade felt something hot touching her side. Her sword was radiating heat through its sheath!

Tricis nodded in a sort of approval. She had found the best four students. "The first match of the semifinals shall be Feather Weave versus Patch." She announced. "Do you need instructions or can you figure this out on your own?"

Feather immediately turned his eyes to Patch who was already stepping forward. Even if he really was a child, Feather would have to defeat him.

As Feather was called to fight first, she turned to her new friend and nodded at him with a smile. Silently wishing him good luck.

Her eyes were pretty, and he even blushed lightly before shaking his head and regaining his focus, "Um....yeah. He's out in the Whitetaiil wood searching for the pony that stole your magic. I know you must not like the fact that your husband isn't here with you while you're in the hospital, and I wouldn't blame you if you were pissed. Yuki turned back to Zenru, and responded, "I am here traveling around my normal routes and selling jewelry as I normally do. i currently am stopping in her in Bangcolt before I move onto the next city and sell more."

She approached her rental home, opened the door, and walked inside, "Here we are."

"selling? well, i ask if your selling your craft, you must need money, yes?" he looked at her quizzingly. "or do you sell it because money is simply a nice thing to have?"

as soon as she opened the door, yrel zoomed in, looking around wildly. "whats this? whats this? there's white things everywhere!"

@@P-Jay,

Yuki giggled, "Oh no. It's not about the money at all."

She went into the kitchen, where she could still be heard, "I do it because ponies love to wear what I make. It puts a smile on my face to see them wear what I make, and to know that my craft is worth the money to spend on."

Mixing, beating, and grinding could all be heard from the kitchen, as the kitchen began emitting sweet aromas.

Cloud Chaser shook out her legs and then her body, letting out a sigh. "Phew, that was fun!"

She looked around the messy diner with an awkward smile. "Somepony should probably clean this up..."

She hopped into the booth and hit Lightning with a grin. "You're a pretty good fighter!"

"You're pretty good, yourself!"

Lightning had seen a solitary hayburger on the goons' table and decided to grab it.

"This is mine now," he stated as he shoved in into his mouth.

He looked at one of the punks and said angrily, "That's what you get for interrupting my dinner!"

Xiang allowed a smirk to cross his muzzle at the sight of Violet's brass hoof covers. "I see. Very well then."

He uncurled a dragon-like wing and wrapped it around the hilt of the sword, unsheathing it and flicking it up in the air, allowing it to spin. He nonchalantly glanced up, and expertly caught the hilt in his jaws. The dao sword's blade gleamed amber and white with the moon and streetlights.

"Let's go."

Cloud snorted into her hoof, and helped herself to a free soda left behind by one of the muggers. "If there's backwash on this, I'll give you the worst of it."

@@Fractured, @@Unicorncob,

~Pits of Tartarus...~ Fuse mentally cursed as Twilight teleported Nightingale away, blasted Unicorn/Alicorn magic, always such a pain. Fuse thought, they were leading her towards the guard barracks, hopefully that’s where they sent her. Fuse turned away from the two mares and their confrontation to find a route around to the barracks.
