She's still alive as a human woman now. But once Laura dies, her soul will travel across time and space to be reborn as @Baby Flyer.

That's the reason why in my head fanon, I've lived as Spike's dragon father over a 1000 years ago before being unwillingly forced to disappear and return to being a 15 year old human with no memory of it.
