The Awesome One 1,315 April 21, 2012 Share April 21, 2012 The biggest hailstorm I ever experienced was half an hour long and the ice balls were about 6 cm in diameter so nope, never had golf-ball sized hail stones.

Envy 6,163 April 21, 2012 Share April 21, 2012 I don't live in the UK, but I have dealt with that before. It was wild, sounded like boulders dropping on the roof. Funny thing was that it stopped for a second so I got to go outside, but then it started to come back and I could hear it coming from a mile away. Everything needs more woodwind! DubWolf 17,263 March 11, 2023 Share March 11, 2023 The one time I dealt with hail THIS bad, it busted our windows back at my old house, March 2005. It was LOUD, glass was shattering of course. We were all surprised and moved away from the windows for a few minutes (dad wasn't there, just mom and siblings). I vividly remember all the leaves from the trees being gone, and a thick layer of ice (about a foot high?) had formed when we opened the door to the backyard. That was the last time I observed hail that large, thankfully. Sig by Wolf, Handwriting by SparklingSwirls
