Remake of MLP G1?

Anyone think a complete remake of MLP G1 but changing the script and some parts of the story drastically as well as the animation make it worthwhile to watch?

 

It would be less mind numbing and attempt to make it watchable for today's standard.

That actually sounds like an interesting idea. Though I can imagine it would be rather difficult to pull off!   However if this was the case I believe it would work better as a spinoff or an episode of Friendship is magic rather than another generation.

I don't see how we neccesarly need a change, because they go generation by generation and generation without having spinoff series or any other mentioning of previous generations, they probably wouldn't do it because of the popularity of G4 and the popularity of G1

I don't really see how it's "mind-numbing" or unwatchable in any way.

 

I don't really see it ever getting remade, either. G1 MLP is remembered for its toys (which a couple of the G1 MLP toys have been remade in one way or another) not its animations.

There's potential in G1. Atmosphere seems to be one of its stronger points and the right aesthetics can deliver on that. Add in a nicely balanced and textured mixture of spooky and sweet and I think we've got something that could work well. The aesthetics would need to look like a more refined version of itself instead of going full G4.

I don't think we really need a remake of MLP G1 for the next generation of the franchise or whatever.

I would rather see the franchise do something different for G5 and not need to rely on the backbone of other generations.

No point. The concept can be done way better now so there is no point in recreating it.

Were we watching the same thing? Because while a number of the G3 specials are pretty dull, G1 had a lot of things that caught your attention, especially the villains.

 

I don't think it should be remade, but I think FiM needs to take more after G1 with more fantasy adventure and less slice of life which is getting stale after 5 seasons.  I actually thought at the beginning of Season 5 they would do this with the map, but I should have known better.

It's really hard to watch but I can see the potential it could have remade.
