"It does seem like something brought straight out of a fantasy world doesn't it? Well, with how drastically the world has changed, nothing ever goes as simple as people think. Hopefully nothing devious has been planned, adding the stress of that to deal with is something I really can't be dealing with right now." Mikaele stopped walking as he heard footsteps walking up behind him. 'Another guest maybe? We're going to run out of rooms at this rate. . "Forgive my rudeness Miss Kyubi, but I must excuse myself for a moment."

Walked back towards the gate, he stopped in front of the new person. A young women by the looks of here, and his eyes were immediately drawn to the letter. Having only just seen it a few moments before, he managed to put everything together quickly. "So, you're another guest who will be staying at this place as per this tasks instructions? The name is Mikaele, and this is my home. Lovely to meet you." He held out his hand in offer of a handshake to the newcomer.

Aeron just gave the dapper fellow a grin and shook his hand.  "Hello, I'm Aeron Grey," she said, while glancing around at the huge place, pretty surprised for the umpteenth time to "learn" that this is all one man's home.  Why the heck did rich guys need these big houses?  But she just shrugged it off and stood there, waiting for him to say something else.

Caleb slowly got up. His back ached from landing on it funny but, at least it wasn't worse thanks to that man. Somehow? Though Caleb could go without getting scolded. Caleb was about to thank him when he realized that the dragon was still in the middle of the hallway. Though now that he got a better look at it, the dragon wasn't that frightening, At least for a dragon. In fact the giant lizard actually looked concerned for him. Caleb calmed down about and decided to reassure the dragon "I'm fine. I was just startled to see such a big. Uh. I mean. A dragon in the halls." Caleb gave a weak smile to try to convey he was alright "A-anyway I'm Caleb and I'm supposed to stay here for a while. Uh... Do you know if any of these rooms are open?" He asked the dragon trying to move the conversation away from his accident.

Gale nodded slightly and smiled. "As far as I know, the south room, and all of the east rooms are still open." She said, remembering what Ash had told her. "Someone's already occupying the north room and he doesn't really want to be seen, and Mikele said the east rooms can have up to two people."

Flux walked to one of the east rooms, and opened one of the doors. Lucky, no one was in, she sighed in relief, closed the door, and took off her belt and layed it on the floor. It felt uncomfortable without her tool belt, it gave her a sense of security. I hope Ash, is ok... I feel bad about our first encounter... Oh! I know! I'll make him a present! I should get some more suppies, before I make anything..

 

Flux quickly looked around the room, and it was quite spacious, as it had enough room for another. Flux opened her tool belt and pulled out her machanical cat, her "pet" as humans would put it. A while ago after Ash's encounter, she went out for a little walk, as she needed time to process what happened, and animals seem to be attracted to her. She found a hurt cat, and she brought it to her den, and it turned out the cat was really fond of her, and she patched the cat, who she named Tenbris. It sounded cool, since in another ancient tongue, it meant Dark, as dark as his coat. It was a clockwork feline, had a few mechanical parts, as a few of his bones were broken, for who know what. She pet Tenebris and whispered to him Only you understand me... No one else. Flux sighs and continues talking to the cat, who seemed like he was listening I wish someone would just quit calling me "too emotionally sensitive" and other stuff... It hurts... But I HAVE to stay strong, and thy to help others

Caleb nodded saying "Ok thanks. I'll just take this one then. He said awkwardly as he quickly went into the 6th room down just to the Left of the one in the center and closed the door behind him. The room itself was pretty standard, white walls, blue carpet, with similar blue and white furniture and blue and white striped bed. Though he had to admit that the Small TV was an excellent touch to the room. Especially sense he was a huge gamer/ TV watcher.. Who knows what he might do without it! That reminded him. Caleb's stuff was coming in a separate car which meant that he would be without it for a bit. At least he had TV.

"Well, it's best to get you acquainted with the people you will be staying with. While they may not be human, they are still people like us. Let's hope we all get along nicely. Now do follow me." Mikaele walked back to his home, and stopped at the front door. It was open and Sebastian was cleaning up glass.

 

"Sebby? What happened here?"

 

Sebastian: "We had a little incident, which caused a Vase to fall and smash."

 

Mik: "The new one? Aww, I liked that one. Never mind, it was cheap and we only got it a few days ago. No harm done. I hope. Ahh, I should mention, we have yet another human guest that will be staying with us. While I do enjoy having guests over, I don't think we could fit any more. And everyone is going to have to work twice as hard to keep on top of everything."

 

Sebastian: "Don't worry about us Mika. This is our job isn't it? I'm sure we have the stamina and ability to handle a full house."

 

Mika: "Well you known the rules, everyone gets a pay rise when you have more work to do. Oh, will you please inform everyone that dinner will be ready soon? I have to help in kitchen."

 

Seb: "Sure. I will in a moment."

Aeron nods, saying,"Hey, you and me both!", clasping the strap of her bag tight.  Her mind was racing through the possibilities.  Dragons?  Sirens?  Unicorns?  Pegasi?  Allicorns?  Kiren?  Thunderbirds?  Cthulu?  She barely noticed herself begin to walk, lost as she was in her thoughts.

 

She followed and when they got to the front door, she did a quick mental scan of the broken vase.  She had no skill in assessing the monetary value of objects, but it looked quite expensive to her at glance.  She heard the exchange take place and she couldn't help but exclaim,"That's cheap?!"

Gale nodded slightly and gave a slight smile, before walking around the mansion for a bit. To be quite honest, she was probably lucky to be here. Not many humans would probably view dragons in a positive light, based on some of the things she had been told when she was younger. The dragoness then silently exited the house and flew into the air, looking for Ash.

Kyubi nodded and watched as Mikele let a second human in. From what Mikele said about the number of rooms, they could still take in a few more humans/non-humans. The kitsune then walked inside and glanced at Sebastian. "Is there anything I can do to help?" She asked.

Ash turned when he saw the dragoness flying out from his window and decided to talk to her a bit more. "What are you doing out here?" He smiled. "I wasn't going to be gone too long. No-one would've ever noticed." He grinned at Gale. "Surely you had another reason to come find me?"

Gale looked at Ash and couldn't help but blush slightly. "Well, you were gone for some time and I was getting worried." She said, not really sure how she could react. "So, what were you doing out here anyway? Were you just exploring or something?" The dragoness was a bit curious and she also figured that talking with the phoenix for a bit wouldn't hurt.

The phoenix shrugged and looked back at the dragoness. "I needed to get away from everyone else. Especially our host." He scowled at the thought of the His that he was staying with. "I always did have a bad habit of flying away." He smiled and looked back at Gale

Gale gave a slight frown and gave Ash a gentle nudge. "Then I would miss you." She said. "Besides, I understand if you want to have time to yourself. To be honest, I was a bit scared to even do this. I mean, phoenixes basically symbolize life and rebirth while dragons are feared. At least by humans anyway." The dragoness then laid of the soft grass and sighed.

 Ash landed next to Gale and smiled as he rested against a tree. "I doubt anyone would miss me." He grinned. "I am a bit of a trouble maker. Dragons are a noble race." He pat Gale's head and looked back in the direction of the mansion. "You think Mik will notice I'm gone?"

Gale gave a slight smile and nuzzled into Ash's hand. "I'm sure he probably will, just like I'm sure you just need to open up to others, aside from just dragons and possibly other phoenixes." She said. "Besides, I just said that I would miss you so don't try to pull that loner act on me." The dragoness then gave a short laugh.

Ash smiled as she nuzzled back. "Humans hate us. You know that. I can only return the favor." He grinned. "Dragons on the other hand, I consider them Companions." He stretched his wings and yawned. "So how have you been fairing in this new home?" He asked as he tilted his head at her.

"Yeah, but at least open up to the other non-humans and there are probably some humans out there who don't hate us." She said, giving a light smile. "As for how I am now, I feel like I could really enjoy this place. Mikele has been nice and the others are interesting to say the least."

(Since we have no established currency. I'm just gonna use gold. Everyone understands the value of gold in fantasy a world.)

 

Seb: "Yes. Mika picked it up 4 days ago for 5 gold. The Vase was shoddy, poor craftsmanship, rough at places, already started to show cracks after minimum use, he said he just liked the way it looked."

"No need for that Miss Kyubi. I have this all sorted out now and of the top of my head I can't think of anything else that I may help with. Besides, this is my job. I couldn't ask anyone else to do it for me. That will be very rude of me." Sebastian emptied the dustpan of glass into a small bin near the door. "One thing though, make sure you have something covering your feet if you ever come near here. Little shards of glass may still be around. I'll take my leave now." After Putting the dustpan away, Sebastian went up the stairs to go and get everyone, but he didn't need to be a genius to know that essential everyone had gone outside. It was far too quiet. 'Not like they can be blamed, they're not use to living in a human home. I do just hope they can get adjusted to being here. Last thing Mika and I want are them to feel unwelcome. Let's just hope they come back soon.

"After all, Mikaele and I don't exactly see eye to eye. That's how it starts." He shook his head. "I'm not sure why I was sent here actually."

"O-Oh, I see..."  Aeron just nervously laughed with an awkward smile.  She looked at the glass shards, unsure of its value, but still deciding she mine as well take his word for it.  

 

Having never been in a house as grand as this, she stood there, turning and looking around like a child who was visiting an aquarium, an art gallery, or some other beautiful attraction for the very first time.  Seeing just about no one around, she wandered down one of the halls, eager to explore.

At one point, she came to a window that allowed her a view of the outside.  When she looked out, she saw those two.  Sentient creatures she previously thought she would never, ever see in her entire life.  She thought back to a quote.  "Once a man has seen a dragon in flight, let him stay home and tend his garden in content.  For this wide world has no greater wonder."  She both agreed and disagreed with it, for both the dragon and the phoenix were, to her, rival wonders with no clear winner.  

 

And she was sure they weren't the only ones.

Gale shrugged slightly and gave a slight smile. "I'm sure there's a kind individual somewhere in there. That's probably what they see." She said. "Just give them another chance, for me. Please?" The dragoness then gave Ash what would be the dragon's equivalent of puppy dog eyes and tilted her head.

Ash shrugged. "I make no promises." He glanced up at his window and stretched his wings. "lets go back. I think I have a visitor." With a mighty flap of his wings, he was high in the air, and he glided back to his room, landing on the balcony as he turned his head and waited for Gale.

Gale smiled in victory and hoped to whatever deity there was that all of this worked out for Ash. "At least I got him to stay for a bit longer." She thought, before flying in the same direction as Ash. She landed next to him and noticed Aeron. "Oh, hi. I didn't expect more humans to show up."

Aeron took a few swift steps back, her eyes wide when she saw the dragon and the phoenix fly toward her.  At first, she thought they were upset at her for staring, then she calmed down when the dragon spoke up.  "Ah, haha..."  Real smooth, Aeron.  "I guess I came late or something.  I was kinda...  Kinda informed about the whole thing when the papers were already sent in, so I didn't have much time to prepare."
