"Eh, I hope so. I don't want to have to go through something like that again." She leaned against Solar more, nuzzling her neck. "I just hate it. I hate feeling like this. I hate being like this and I hate that you all saw me like this." She pouted and ruffled her wings as feeling came back to her limbs. 

 

"Hey, I just hated seeing you in pain," Solar whispered, nuzzling Amber back, "But I'm gonna help you kick the addiction. And when you do, you'll never feel that way again. I promise."

 

 

"I know that much, but the simple fact is that there is so much about your suit that you don't even know, and I've almost exhausted any spare time I may have had right now."

 

 

"If we ever get off of this ship, or maybe if we can take the damn thing home, sure. But just a warning, you never know if you'll get back."

 

"What, can't make time for your dear daughter?" She joked, with a dung-eating smirk pointed at Scarlett.

 

She blinked at her last comment. "Wait... so you're saying it might be possible?"

"Hey, I just hated seeing you in pain," Solar whispered, nuzzling Amber back, "But I'm gonna help you kick the addiction. And when you do, you'll never feel that way again. I promise."

 

"Oh Solar, I'm so glad you're here. I mean, you're one of the few ponies who even has wanted to help me." Amber sighed, flicking her mane back out of her eyes. "My family practically wanted to disown me when they found it heh. Well, Pa did at least." She laughed half-heartedly but the pain of the memory was clear enough. She shook it off though, conjuring up another smile. "I know it'll be a damn hard thing, but I'm sure the two not-nerds can find a way to cure morphine addiction. I mean, who was it who found the wet sand first?" She smirked. Absolutely flawless logic.

"fine, why not, not like I want to be alone forever it would do everyone a favor maybe I should just find an airlock save everyone the trouble of my hopeless command skills, but now I've said that you gonna say. "Sapphire, I, for one, don't want to see you out an airlock, okay? But, more to the point, what would the rest of us think if you did? If you throw yourself out, most of us will think that this is all hopeless, that there's no point in trying to survive. That's a mentality we can't afford to have. And your command skills aren't useless. I mean, you were brave enough to take the responsibility of leadership on yourself when you thought it was necessary. And I think that was admirable. Now, was it the best way to lead? Perhaps not. But, if we help each other," (Lightning holds Sapphire's hoof between his), "as a team, we can get through this."

Solar bit her lip upon hearing about Amber's family issues, being unsure whether to ask if she wanted to talk about it or leave it alone.

 

Thankfully she had changed the subject, somewhat, and she nodded with a smirk. "Yeah, we'll find some awesome not-science solution and look awesome doing it."

A very slow grin emerged on Solar's face, and she just pointed her hoof at Scarlett. "I see what you did there!"

 

 

"Well yea of course, but we'd need a lot of power and quite a bit of metal. And we'd probably need to be off this ship first."

Very jealous." Amber wanted to snuggle up to Solar so desperately, but her limbs were still all flimsy from time to time so she had to be careful. "That attention might be easier to give once my limbs decide to actually start working properly again. Put some of that military muscle to good use y'know?" The pegasus winked, sticking out her tongue like a filly.

If there's something I've learned in all my years in the military and Stargate, it's that, even though someone may not approve of your ideas doesn't mean that it's a bad idea. Various times I've put up an idea that almost no one approved. But, when it was put into action, it worked, and they were forced to admit they were wrong. What's important isn't that people approve of your ideas; what's important is that you know that you're right. And, in my opinion, your ideas have been great. I don't know about the others, but I feel that I've also been giving too much attention to single ponies and one specific situation, and I keep missing the big picture. You helped me see that. And for that, I wanna thank you." Then, moved by impulse, Lightning kissed Sapphire on the cheek.

Crystal was looking out as Flame came back in, "oh hey where did you go then? Just leave a mare hanging real smooth there Flame, but if I am need sure lets us be off to where we are needed." this shall be interesting to say the least. Crystal followed Flame back to the gate room...

Well, when a pony gets rejected and has to talk to the SAME pony who rejected them only few minutes after the rejection, I doubt you'll be very smooth either.

 

"Sorry for leaving you Lighting said it was pretty important." Flame walk up to machine Spark told him use and stop in front of it.

 

"All you do is........" Just as Flame turned his head to Bass's He spotted Amber and Solar getting a little TOO acquainted with each other. watching for about 5 mins because of shock (and other reasons) Flamestreak took a deep breath and started talking.

Sapphire drew back from the kiss and raised her hoof to touch the spot he kissed, she studied his face, "I...I...did not see that coming..." She smiled at him, the first time she smiled since she had been on this ship. "that was nice, Lightning I think I needed that."

Amber practically jumped out of her skin as the shouting reached her ears mid-nibbling. She winced with every word that was screamed at the pair and looked pale as everything calmed again, her ears still ringing. Oh Celestia... She began to panic a little. Her breath took a visible, cold form as she started hyperventilating. Amber what are you doing? Get a control of yourself! Oh goddesses...Oh dear...what was I thinking? I didn't mean to hurt anypony- it was just a bit of playful flirting, I- I...

 

Despite her entire nerve system defiantly holding out against her will, Amber desperately limped off down the corridor back to her room. They don't want me here...n-noone wants me here... She was completely flustered and embarrassed, with a dozen or so ponies' eyes following her back down the corridor.

"Oh Solar..." Amber cooed, a crimson blush slowly beginning to form. She returned the lick giggling but decided to press on and gave the pegasus a brief kiss as well. "I'm sorry...my brain's so fuzzy right now, even the little things are getting to me. Ugh, these first few days are gonna be hell." She took a deep breath and gave each of her hooves a long stretch to bring some life back into them, proceeding to do a few brief hops on the spot. 

 

 

 

"He's just jealous because I hit the jackpot before he did~" She purred.

 

Amber couldn't help but smile at that, her heart fluttering. "Well if you hit the jackpot, I won the damn lottery." She pinched another kiss, this time more prolonged. She just wanted the taste of Solar's lips forever on her own. "Sweet Celestia, I love it when you purr like that~"

Once Amber and Solar had left the room, she stood alone for a couple of minutes with multiple ideas and theories going through her mind about the current situation and Destiny. Once realising that there was not much point in trying to solve anything right now, with a shake of her head she brought herself back to reality and walked out the room to find Flame shouting at the couple before her. That was actually quite unnecessary she thought, but was cut off before she could respond by Solar.

When she pulled away, Lightning's immediate thought was I am so screwed! Now she'll hate me for the rest of my life! But when she smiled and finally spoke, his thoughts were Nix that! I TOTALLY NAILED IT!

 

"Well, I couldn't stand seeing the prettiest mare on this ship look so sad. Now, if you don't mind, I could use your help in the gate room. I left Flame and Crystal with a material separator for the sand and I'm pretty sure Flame has already made a fool of himself around Crystal."
