But, regardless, what's the situation as of right now? I'm assuming it's worse than last time, given the chain of events we've experienced."

Our bumpy-as-hell little trip around that blue giant has slowed us down but flung us directly towards a star not so different from out some planet's sun. Scarlett grabbed one of the few empty boxes left in the room in her magic and pulled it up to her by the balcony. She then opened it and to her luck there was a pad of paper and some pens. Well, quite a few. But she levitated those to the side.

 

Suddenly, Laura appeared beside her and began writing down all the names of the on board crew. "Thanks," Scarlett said.

Once all the names were written, Scarlett and Laura folded them all and put them in the box. The plan was, as they both knew, a lottery. Assuming that everyone would want a chance to fight for their lives, in a way, they put everyones names on paper and into the box. Once everyone was in the gateroom, they would decide who survives.

She had to admit, seeing her try to look all strong and tough like this was really adorable.

 

"Ugh, I know right?" She sighed, rolling her eyes, "I swear, it's like the ponies around here can't decide where in Tartarus they wanna be for five minutes."

Lightning turned to look at Scarlett. He raised his eyebrow in a "really?" expression. "Scarlett, I know Ancient. I realize the gravity of the situation. Nothing's gonna happen. If anything does happen you can always torture me or something like that." He continued toward Engineering, checking cabins along the way, and notifying ponies that they must go to the gate room.
