general media Catchprases and or lack of, in FiM and other media?

I wa watching "Tv's funniest animated stars", and during the countdown, a category of characte catchphrases came up. It got me thinking that the Mlp:Fim characters don't really seem to have catchphrases of their own. Somehow, I never realized....

How do people feel about the lack of catchphrases in FiM?

Or catchphrases in media, in general?

Applejack has a million of them and they are all different, Sugarcube,

Big Mac: "eeyup" "nope"

The fandom seems to use catchphrases more than the show itself: "20% Cooler" "Love and Tolerant" "Best Pony" "brohoof" and the list goes on......

is it a catchphras, though, when it's the only thing you say, in Big Mac's case? I don't think a catchphrase is supposed to be your entire vocabulary 98% of the time

 

And AJ's catchphrases just seem like terms of endearment. Sugarcube = dear, darling, sweetie, etc.
