Some of my drawings!

Hi everypony! I draw a little and I wanted to show you a bit of my work to your pony faces, cuties that you all are. I'll put here only the best things I drew recently, but if you want to see the crap between them, go wander a bit on my Deviantart (If you value your lovely eyeballs, don't go beyond the page 3 or 4)

Enjoy all this!

Thanks a lot! You know, with some practice, you can be as good as me ;)

Haha, been there, tried that. But I don't have the focusing hand nor the creative mind :P. So nah. But thank you though ^w^

They look great! I struggle a lot with putting more than one character in a picture, let alone so many!

I also love how much effort you put into the backgrounds. Definitely keep up the good work! :D

If you want to, I could help you a bit with drawing many ponies on the same drawing, but this comes too with time, so I don't know if it will be useful.

I laughed a bit for the background part cause I'm struggling to not be a lazy and do some backgrounds (I'm not really good at drawing backgrounds, but I'm in progress).

Thanks for commenting ! It means a lot to me<3

Aw, that's so nice of you to offer :) I agree that it will probably come with time, but maybe when I find myself struggling again, I might just know who to ask for possible advice. :P

I personally think your backgrounds look great so far, I can't wait to see how much better they will even become with time.

And I know the struggle of drawing them all too well! I currently draw a lot without backgrounds, but forcing myself to draw one in the next picture... :lie: You can't improve at something without doing it, even if it's not as much fun. :D

And there's no need to thank me. :)

I wish you that you will never lose joy in creating art, as it is a joy I can not compare to anything else. <3

  • 1 year later...

How very ironic! I don't have the creative hand nor the focusing mind! It has been days since I last attempted some hand-drawing on account of my mind usually coming up with ideas faster then I can actually sit down and force myself to practice. Nor do I have much else to work with, tool-wise, than just pencils & notebooks. My aesthetic capabilities & sensibilities far outweigh what I feel my appendages can do justice to what I think up.

But I digress. What did I come here today to blither about?

Oh yeth. I really do find your work to be most exemplary, Mr. Dagger.

You somehow put so much more presence into your ponies. That they are more than just cartoon characters crafted out of shapes put ontop of other shapes as what most fanwork or even the show is like. I can see actual musculature, that little stylistic pooch outward as the leg bends inward towards the hoof, a subtle turn of a head, tiny little trifling details like tiny tufts of fur or itty-bitty bows or jewelry. It's honest to Glod effort, actual, unmitigated art! They aren't just characters, you outright draw them like one of your french ponies-  *Thwack!*  -like how actual sentient animals would be shaped!

Though, to balance out my gooshing, it does seem like these examples might be a bit older than my later viewing of your work on your OC. This style is rather stylistically skinny & doesn't fit too well on some of the ponies. Take Pinkie for example, her character fits the cartoony, bouncy, fluffy show-style better & your way makes Fluttershy look a bit too frail. (Which.... she really kind of is.) But it does work better on unicorns, the more nimble frame of Rainbow Dash or the more heavily muscled frame of Applejack.

It's really quite heartening how much effort I can tell you put into it. Aaand also equal parts disheartening when I consider your likely half my age. /pout

On an unrelated note! My neurotic-ism really makes me want to chew those sharp edges off your OC's horn. Really has that bad-hangnail-look to it, lol! And yes, before any of you ask, my nails are in some pretty bad shape!

(If you value your lovely eyeballs, don't go beyond the page 3 or 4)

Hah! Shows what you know! I don't value my eyeballs! Challenge Accepted!

Beatings & Salivations Everybeing!   Creativity is something blatantly important to me as is no doubt evidenced by the 28 OCs I have posted here of the some forty plus I have, they're linked altogether at the bottom of my About Me page in my Profile & I would deeply cherish anything you wish to say about them! Among which of those I am proudest most of is my Draconequusona, His/My Ask Thread  and my Hydra, Gallimaufry or "Mauf" and their own Ask Thread!  Either way, sufficed to say, I am quite confident I have more OCs than you! Crazier to! Do You have a tatzelpony?! No, I rather think you don't! Hew-Hew-hew!
