I think if he does, he'll turn out to be an asshole, in an attempt to make us sympathize with Starlight.

I don't think so...I mean, even if he did, Starlight will apologize to him, but it may take a while for him to accept it though...

I suppose it's possible. Why toss him out now? Whatever purpose he might serve, there are plenty of opportunities for him. I'm not sure how they would handle it, but that’s why I'm not writing the episodes.

If he actually does show it was written in a way where Starlight realizes she was being a real silly nanny and apologize to him. I also hope they don't make him a real d-bag, or else that'll just end up hurting the S5 finale more than it already has

I think it would be more interesting to leave him in the shadows, but I guess there's no better tool to develop Starlight now that she's a recurring character in the least

Well, Starlight did mention Sunburst went to Canterlot for magic school. That sounds like the type of thing the writers might intend to get back to. Of course, the writers could have just as easily had him go to magic school without really thinking about it.
