Mature (Read: Older) Bronies

Reprise

Recommended Posts

I'm new in town, so to speak and I'm looking to meet people, make friends, and in general, be part of the community.

As part of that quest, I'm curious about seeking out ponies that are closer to me in age. I kind of get the impression that I am kind of an old timer around these parts at 33 (with a birthday in a little over a week.) I'm pretty immature for my age, I think, and I kind of pride myself on that. Anyway!

Let's hear from those of us who are a little bit advanced in age, so I can get an idea of my peers! Not that I have any problem with the younger sorts, I'm just curious. :D

And hello from a fellow older - definitely not mature - brony. I'm also in mid-thirties here, and sticking to the principle that, while you're only a child once, you can stay childish forever.

We may need to grow older, but we certainly do not have to grow up! :D

I'm 24 and married if that makes you feel better?

There's no bad feelings to start with. ;) I just wanted to see if I was the only person hovering around in the 'born in the 80's' demographic. I can't very well have old people wheelchair races with no one else to be old with.

What do you do for a living, man?

Iiii am a support engineer at a Silicon Valley start-up. Lots of fancy computer things, basically, while helping people figure out why my fancy computer thing isn't working.

I'm 32 and married, with a 4 year old. I also have a master's degree, own a house and juggle home finance plans between watching ponies. Yet, maturity free since '83.

There's plenty around...maybe not the majority, but I've seen other 30s year olds. I've even seen a gentlepony in their 60s around here. I've seen a few other parents on here at well.

You are not alone, Free Willy.  (You'll get the reference and others here will not. Hoofbump).

Hurrah! My exact agegroup! While it is nice to meet folks of all ages, it's nice to know I am not some old aberration clomping around the forums being twice the age of everyone else.

Nah! I am not the kid-having type. I don't think I would make a very good parent. I can't even keep a cactus alive.

Me niether. While I do see the beauty in parenthood, 20 years of anxiety is not worth it. XD

I am in total agreement. I don't like the idea that my mistakes might mess up an entire life. Nooooope, too much responsibility for me.

Older pegasister here. Probably older than all y'all as I was born PRE-80s. Yes those of us pre 80s are not dead yet although I have no clue on earth where anyone my age exists.

I was born at the beginning of the 80's, but not quite before them! You take my crown for the thread!

Why thanks! Haha. It used feel cool that I was a 70s kid (barely, born in 79) but as I've gotten older, it's like dang I'm old.

I'm even older, born mid 60's *giggles* have four children and one grand child :D

I tend to life by my motto of 'Growing old is compulsary..... Growing up is optional' :yay:

And I pass the crown! I like your motto too by the way.

25 (inching closer to 26 even), does that count? :) I'm a student working in a tech firm in a student opening, trying to prove myself while simultaneously earning the funds to finish my Bachelor's.
