Are most changelings at the Wedding female?

Insects with hives usually have a larger ratio of females over males. Males are usually relegated to drone work while it's mostly females that are soldiers. So does this same thing apply to the changelings

Well given that they can shapeshift, I have to image they're hermaphrodites, though we've never seen a changeling take on a male form in the show yet.

Maybe it's because they're females they prefer the female form?

Well, they all look the same in their natural form, and they can change shape into whoever they want to. So really, there's no way of knowing, with the obvious exception of Queen Chrysalis. But I am inclined to agree, just because it makes sense.

Well seeing as how changelings haven't had an important role in the show sense A Canterlot Wedding, there is no way of telling whether this is true or not.

But it is an interesting theory to take consideration of.

The way I recall things about social hymenoptera, all of their workers are female. Or if you think more in the way of termites, their workers and warriors are actually male and female individuals. Drones are specifically male hymenoptera individuals hatched to fertilize a queen.

Are lings similar? Who knows. Arthropods are one of the writers’ greatest mysteries. I think that if they ever develop changeling lore, they’ll go the way of normal pony society with just a wee drop of despotism and a gallon of comic relief.
