    Considering the student body is practically a rainbow in itself, and the school is being attacked by magical multicoloured monsters and being saved by a rainbow death ray of friendship every other week, I think rainbow hair is the least of their concerns. And besides, considering the lengths of some of the skirts we've seen, can we be so sure there's even a dress code?

    No, I don't think so. As you said, the target audience was never just preschoolers, it was girls in general. Preschool shows, in my opinion, are shows like Sesame Street and Dora, which try and teach kids colours and stuff, and while there may have been a bit of that at the beginning with the whole "friendship lessons" thing, it was never that "which is the blue pony? You're right!" kind of show. Besides, the show has been adjusted a little bit to cater to bronies. In a preschool show, you won't see monsters like the timberwolves, or some of the more complex themes that would not be there if this was a preschool show. I think that while the technical target age for MLP is young girls, the show has expanded to be so much more than that.

    To be perfectly honest, I hope so. Both Shining and Cadence have almost no character development anyway, so almost anything could be incorporated into their personalities. And this is the perfect opportunity for Cadence to break out of her "perfect pink princess" image and show some real personality.

    Yeah, it was pretty unsettling. She made it obvious that the manticore trick was something she wouldn't dare attempt until Starlight offered to help, and then after their fight, it's the first trick she does, and she knows it will kill her unless Starlight saves her. I think we all knew she would get saved, so it wasn't quite as bad as it could have been, but still unsettling nonetheless.

    About the song: Yes. Oh, yes. About the episode: I actually kind of liked it. However, I do not agree with the assumption that Trixie never got a second chance. I think it makes sense for Twilight not to trust her. After Starlight's redemption, Twilight took her on as a student, and the mane 6 accepted her. After Trixie's sort-of redemption in Magic duel, they just kind of forgot about it, and there was no second chance to be had since she kind of ran away and didn't come back until now. The mane 6 have had a chance to get to know Starlight after her redemption, but there was no guarantee that Trixie didn't have another evil plan that she'd been brewing, like Starlight had between the first and last episodes of season 5. Especially with that evil grin.

    Meh, I think it could go either way. We could have either come up with a solution to global warming and be using only renewable resources, or we could be suffocating in greenhouse gases, waging WW3 around our remaining resources, and struggling with the fact that human existence will most likely be over within a few years. Take your pick.
