Update time!

It's been a while since I posted in here, but I have some new stuff, and also if you happened to miss it, I opened up a brand new commission shop! And now for ze artwerks!

 

Firstly, a commission piece I did for my first customer, MisterDash. Keepin it classy, like a sir.

 

Secondly, a work in progress which will be done up in full colour soon. A nightmare luna, inspired by a brief scene from "Sleepless in Ponyville" Where Luna appears for a moment in the background, behind a line of trees during one of Scootaloo's nightmares. Slenderman is another bit of inspiration for this piece. I used the soundtrack from the arrival while drawing this one.

New stuff is done Starting off with some character concept work for my OC Clockwork.

Evil has no limits. Anything goes when nothing is sacred, but everything has it's cost.

 

Secondly, the complete colour version of Dream Stalker.

Thank you kindly. You can actually see for yourself, since I've already done them up in pencil. Mind you, those ones are a bit older, my style evolved a little since then. I do also have bust portraits of them all.

 

These are the more recent full colour ones I did back in the fall.

New stuff!

 

I've been busy working on two new commission pieces this past week, and both are now complete! These were commissioned by Dark Tempest. OC names are Draconis (changeling) and Dark Tempest.

Your welcome lol its the truth, I haven't drawn anything in a long while, and Im finally getting back to it and getting better, but I want to able to create something as great you and some of the other amazing artists on here. So it definitely drives me to improve myself. Keep up the good work sir!

The more time you put in, the faster and better you'll be. I speak from experience there. xD

2 months of daily drawings and slowly moving into ink and colour really sped up and sharpened my skills.

Such nice work, gives me better perspective on my own style I've been trying to work on for the mlp art. Its hard going from dragons to ponies though! You use ink? Just pens or some other form? I love trying knew styles.

Thanks I'm glad to know I've been getting others interested in their own creative work. That always makes me happy to see.

 

I do use pens, but only for the line work. When I get into the colour, I'll sometimes bring in loose ink, and use a couple different tools to apply it, the main one being a brush, but I have also used straws to block ink dabs over the page for a cool streaking effect. I can also get a light splatter with the straw by blowing the paint or ink off the wet brush onto the paper.

Update tiem!    So I just completed this new crossover work. Based on the Myst series, but I've borrowed a bunch of aspects from that to build my character Scribbler's story, so I pay homage to my favorite game obsession.

 

Within his mind, a world exists. Through the tip of his pen, the ink of the ancients meets the magic paper. Through descriptive symbols and tedious detail, the linking book flourishes to life. Light explodes forth from the link, like fire from the page, the light of another world's sun blazing through the little window. With careful attention to make sure all the symbols are written and everything is in it's proper place, a single touch of a hoof to the link window will transport Scribbler to the world he imagines. In an infinite universe, with infinite time, all imagination becomes reality through the little window on the page.
