Scarlet wasn't expecting the judging to start so soon, but was thankful that she was one of the last on the line. The hawk then watched the rabbit as she took notes, having a good clue as to what she was writing down. She honestly wished Blitz was here to cheer her on, but she knew he wasn't a fan of large crowds and she wasn't going to force him to show up.

 

Nero watched the rabbit walk down the line and couldn't help but notice that Apep had signed up for the contest. "She's one brave snake, that much is for certain." He thought, before giving a light smile. "I should at least try to talk to her. If anything, I'll probably learn more about her."

It didn't take long to notice that she was the only reptile that had been brave enough to sign up for the contest or that she was a haed or two taller than most of the other girls because of the way she moved, but she tried not to let that bother her. Like Kerrigan, she could also tell that something was off, but couldn't quite place what it was.

 

Blitz watched the contest proceed from the cove he had found and narrowed his eyes at the rabbit. Even from a distance, he could tell something was off about her. "I might as well wait her for things to die down." He thought, before turning his attention to Scarlet and the snake next to her. He had to admit, they were both gorgeous and any fur or scale would have to be crazy,related, or blind to not see that about either of them. Unfortunately, he could only say that about one.

[Kronos the Revenant 1,971]

Kronos looked around at the festival and noticed no one else was there.

 

"Huh," he said to himself, "Is EVERYONE at the swimsuit competition?"

 

Blob popped out of the case and nodded to Kronos, conking his head to turn his attention to it.

 

"Wook, ober dere." Blob told Kronos.

 

"What? Look over wha--?" he asked beofre spotting Denise and Mary, "Dude, all the more reason why I shouldn't be there."

 

Blob had a glare on his face and turned his attention towards the crowd instead.

 

"Oh, THAT'S what you were pointing out. Okay. Thanks, dude." And he went into the audience of the swimsuit competition.

Malfoy was standing in the crowd watching the judge eye the girls up and down. He glad he wasn't up there, the kind of judgement that they were receiving let alone many of the males in the crowd simply here just to stare at a bunch of attractive women... he did have to admit that many of the girls did look really good in their swimsuits.

 

His gaze shifted down the line of contestants and he realized that Denise from the game store was even up there. "Wow I didn't think this was her kind of thing." He thought to himself accidentally finding himself staring at her. "She looks good though..."

Savannah glanced at the competitors either side of her, as the judgemental rabbit walked close and closer. She spotted a reptilian head above the rest, and craned her neck to see a little way down the line without adjusting her stance. She spotted a snake and, near to her, a hawk. "The only reptile, and..." she shifted her gaze to look at everyone else either side of her. "...by the looks of it, the only bird too!" She added, "and they seem like tough competition, too..."

 

Ocean watched as her friend looked at each other girl taking part in the contest. They were all stunning, and she thought that Savannah actually seemed slightly nervous. Ocean edged closer to the stage and once again her eyes ended up fixated on the glaring rabbit judge. She huffed and glanced at the floor, then dragged her beach towel over to where she was standing and sat, legs crossed, with her bag by her side. She pulled out her iPod and began listening to her favourite band, as she eagerly awaited her friend's result.

​JR suddenly nudged Malfoy out of nowhere, and was drinking a bottle of water. ​"Yo. So tell me, who you got eyes for out there? They all look pretty cute, right?"

The bunny woman was looking up and down the line of contestants, and were busy taking notes of all the girls that had showed up. At this point, most of the girls who were half nervous were sweating and shaking from the silent but deadly look in the judges' eye. Once she moved on from Denise, she moved onto Mary.

 

​Mary stood there, looking brave but shy. Her larger chest managed to speak for itself however, and she managed to stay calm.

She glanced over to her friend, who was managing to keep her composure under the woman's judging eye. She had to admire her courage.

 

"..." her eyes began scanning her friend's curvy body curiously. Damn, what kind of man doesn't want a girl with that figure?

Malfoy heard steps approaching from behind and soon heard J.R's voice. He blushed slightly as he looked away from the girls. "What, no one... just here to cheer on my friends in the contest..." He said feeling a bit embarrassed being caught staring by someone he knew. "I mean granted they do all look really good, I've also never seen that side of Denise before either... not her being half naked! of course just her willing to show off what shes got."

 

 

His gaze then shifted back up to the girls. "What about you?"

Scarlet could feel knots beginning to form in her stomach as time dragged on, but despite the distance, she could just make out the shape of Blitz and felt herself relax a bit. The hawk then glanced at the snake next to her. "Good luck." She whispered, knowing that no one would hear them.

As Malfoy looked across the girls his eyes caught the sight of Apep looking directly at him which she then winked at him with her tongue sticking out slightly which made the wolf turn red in the face over how she looked at him. He moved his gaze to avoid hers for a second only to look back at her with a small smile and shy wave.

​JR just snickered and burst out into a laughing fit. He thought Malfoy was adorable with how shy he was, ​"Dude, you are just so cute. I imagine the girls just eat you up. Ha! And I agree, they do look very nice. But I bet you just loooove the view. Now, me personally? Eh, they all look nice. I just don't feel like having my head bitten off due to preferences. Not to mention I don't really pay that much close attention to girls. I mean, with my job I hardly ever have time to go out and talk. But at the same time, I do enjoy being by myself."

The bunny woman eventually passed by the snake and the hawk. After which she started laughing to herself as she moved down the line. Something about them seemed to have amused her...

Denise met the bunny's glare with a nonchalant stare of her own, though she couldn't help but feel a little relief when the judge finally moved on.

 

She glanced over to her friend, who was managing to keep her composure under the woman's judging eye. She had to admire her courage.

Mary just kept smiling as the judge passed. She knew that her body was somewhat plump compared to the average girl, but she didn't complain. She just wanted to have fun and enjoy herself. Knowing the judge was out of earshot, she whispered to Denise, ​"Psst. You see that? She looked right at us!"

"Cute?" Malfoy repeated looking down at the ground shyly, his cheeks still red from Apep moments before. 

 

He took a breath and looked back up at J.R.. "Don't pay attention to girls? what's that suppose to mean ? I mean if that's too personal of a question I'll understand if you don't feel like sharing."

Apep gave a slight smile and returned the wave, before turning her attention back to the contest at hand. She had also noticed the rabbit laughing as soon as she past them and felt her tail rattle, though it didn't really produce any noise. The snake was somewhat suspicious of the rabbit.

Mary just kept smiling as the judge passed. She knew that her body was somewhat plump compared to the average girl, but she didn't complain. She just wanted to have fun and enjoy herself. Knowing the judge was out of earshot, she whispered to Denise, ​"Psst. You see that? She looked right at us!"

 

Denise looked at her friend and smirked. "Yeah, we must have impressed her," she whispered, "that or I pissed her off. Could go either way for me, really."

 

She craned her head to look at the judge, then back at Mary. "You think she saw something in us? I mean, I'm kind of a twig after all."

Unfortunately for the rabbit, Scarlet had heard her laughing and felt the talons on her feet dig into the sand under her. Despite her best attempts to not get angry, the hawk stepped forwards and shot a glare at the lagomorph that could melt steel. "Excuse me, but is there something you find humorous about us?" She asked, referring to both herself and Apep. While she couldn't tell if the snake had noticed, the hawk wasn't going to take this lying down. Her tone was a mix of controlled rage and polite sweetness.

​JR went on to explain, ​"Basically because of my job and my terrible work schedule, I haven't had much time...at all to make friends or to even look at girls which in turn has made me a bit--no. Very. Awkward when it comes to interacting with females in general. And it's weird because I get along fine with grown women, and old ladies. But with girls my age....I just....don't really know."

Denise looked at her friend and smirked. "Yeah, we must have impressed her," she whispered, "that or I pissed her off. Could go either way for me, really."

The bunny woman simply ignored the hawk and quieted her laughter. She then spoke as she continued walking, "Save all questions until the end; thank you."

Let alone you should ask for more time off, to have you as the only employee is stressful and if you leave then the shop will lose a lot of money." Malfoy said. "I mean plenty of girls would like you I'm sure so you wouldn't have trouble finding a girlfriend."

She suddenly lashed her tail and put a scowl on her face. "I swear, if this is because we don't look like we just stepped off a fashion mag cover, someone's got a backhand comin' her way."

JR shrugged. ​"Meh. It's not so much about getting a girlfriend. It's just social anxiety in general. I mean don't get me wrong, I could probably easily get a girl if I tried, but I'm just not ready for that yet. Some things come naturally. Others with time." ​He then  noticed a small situation at the stage with the bunny judge laughing at someone. "Hm...something's not right here.." 

 

"I understand that, I've never been too smooth either thanks to social anxiety." He said and looked back up at the stage after J.R.  pointed it out. "Probably just some stuck up prick from the city who thinks she's better then everyone and compares them to the starved models we see as the faces for fashion or swimwear."

Savannah watched as the bunny judge approached. She refined her pose and straightened her small smile, her feet beginning to ache slightly and her tail flicking from left to right. She hadn't actually sat down in a while, not since having lunch earlier at a nearby beachfront restaurant.

 

Ocean observed as Savannah changed her pose a little when the judge began to get closer to her. Her heart began to beat faster, hoping for the sake of her friend that she got decent results.

Scarlet narrowed her eyes at the rabbit's back and gave a low growl as she went to stand beside Apep. "So, that's her bail out. It makes sense. After all, I'm sure that beauty has to come with some prejudice, doesn't it?." She thought, still trying not to bite to hard on her lower beak. The hawk could feel her wings wanting to extend and take flight, but she wasn't about to leave just yet.

Nero gave a low hiss as he watched the rabbit and was tempted to speak up on the behalf of the hawk and snake, but he knew that now wouldn't be the best time. The snake then glanced at a wolf not to far from him. "It's probably because of the fact that one's a bird and the other is a snake. To other mammals, they probably wouldn't look to attractive. Despite that, they are beautiful among their own respective species. If anything, I would say it's more ignorance than anything."

JR blinked. No wonder the judge was harsh. It seemed as though if she had her standards too high for this crowd. ​"Hm. Maybe she's just jealous because our town has prettier natural girls that don't have surgery. Hm. She better keep up her 'higher standards' too if she doesn't want some problems."

 

​​After passing Savannah and the last few, the judge had finished her...well, judging. From there she went back to the table, and spoke loudly, ​"The winner will be announced after the intermission. Thank you."

Ocean heard some chattering and comotion coming from the audience around her. She hadn't noticed, but the rabbit judge was seeking a little off. She wanted to ask someone what had happened, and explain that she had been rummaging through her bag and moving her beach towel at the time, but didn't know how to go about doing so. Eventually, she decided to simply walk up to the nearest member of the audience, who happened to be Nero. She came up behind him and opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out at first. "Um... hi. I was just wondering... I was wondering what had happened? With the judge?" she finally asked. She'd gathered by now that she had apparently 'found something funny' about two of the competitors - what it was, Ocean was quite unsure of.

 

@@J.R. Savannah relaxed as the judge passed her and said that results would be announced soon. She looked over to Ocean to see her talking to someone, but stayed where she was as she eagerly awaited her result.
