Kurren$y felt his nose get warm, so he wiped his hoof across his nose, seeing a newly painted coat of blood on his hoof he took a moment to articulate his response. He wanted to hit back, but he didn't want to be the reason he paid another visit to Doc today. With every insult Kurren$y clapped his hooves together to emphasis his point.

 

"Ya'll be last mof***** in Equestria to talk s*** bout me. Ya'll hating a**, b**** titty a**, p*ssy whipped a**, budget baller a**, fake a**, tweaking a**,  dumba**, ****** be throwing shade at the game and the wrong f***ing playa! Hooligan chuckled to himself as he heard Kurren$y swearing his head off trying to be threatening.

Hooligan smiled at Redwood, "wow you sure to have an interesting family tree," said Hooligan. He thought about what he said and realised wood and tree are similar, "no pun intended."

"Again, real funny. So, ah could tell y'all about th' one time that Oak broke his leg back when we were kids, or th' other time when Birch almost completely ruined a family reunion. Now that ah think about it, we got into a lot of trouble when we were kids. Which one do y'all wanna hear?"

Hooligan thought about it for a moment, did he want to hear about broken limbs or ruined parties. He wondered why she couldn't just tell him both stories but decided not to mention it. "Okay tell me this," he said after making his decision, "how do you almost completely ruin a family reunion?"

"Alright, we'll go with that one. See, like any proper country family, the Wood clan is real big. Now, Birch is and always will be mah baby brother, but he was also always big, even bigger than our big brother, Oak, but that's kinda beside th' point. So, one family reunion, we somehow got most of th' family to show up. As is tradition, one of th' cousins is th' bartender, because we do like to drink, and we don't like hirin' anypony to do th' job. This time though, nopony volunteered to be th' bartender, so we were gonna hire somepony. But at th' last minute, mah cousin Willow offered to do it. Thing is, Birch didn't hear about it, so he still thought we were gettin' hired help, plus he had never met Willow. Y'see, Willow was a real looker, and Birch spent a whole lotta time at th' bar if y'all catch mah drift. Now, things got interestin' at dinner. Birch got up and in front of everypony and asked Willow out on a date, not even realizing that he had just asked out his own cousin. Ah'm sure y'all can guess th' kinda reaction it got."

Kurren$y got out of his cadillac, checked to see if his nose stopped bleeding, and it had. Alright, let's get to some productive s***. one sheet, one cell doorway, one pony. Kurren$y threaded his bed sheet through the cell bars above the doorway and wrapped both ends of the sheet around his hooves. Picking his legs up off the ground he hung for a second to stretch his shoulders, then proceeded to do pull ups.

"a not very pleasant reaction I'd bet," Hooligan said with a chuckle. He stopped, wondering if this was meant to be a funny story. He hopes to god that is was and that he hadn't insulted Redwood by laughing. "I've done a lot in my time but I've never asked out my cousin. I assume she declined?"

"Dear Celestia, y'all shoulda seen th' look on Willow's face. She was so red and her mouth was hanging wide open, and she looked like she was about to faint. Birch had no idea what she had done, and ah was sittin' next to him th' whole time, so ah could head Oak quietly tell him that he had just asked out his cousin. Birch's reaction was just as hilarious too. He almost had a panic attack because he just done that in front of th' entire family, and Cherry was on th ground laughin' real hard."

Hooligan could help but laugh, "wow I can't begin to imagine how embarrassing that must of been," chuckled Hooligan, "on the bright side at least it was a memorable reunion." Hooligan smiled, "you sure have an interesting family Red. I don't think I have any stories half as good as that one."

"I see that you too are getting along with each other, at this rate, you might be out in a month or two. How are you two doing, just fine I hope."

 

Nightmare around the prison, wondering about the skeleton in the abandon cell. There isn't any record of it

"Yeah, when ya got a big enough family, things tend to get interestin'," said Redwood, now with a slight smile on her face.

 

She hadn't thought about a lot of the good times since she became a guard here. Redwood didn't like to think of the time when she was a prisoner herself either, so she mainly just focused on doing her job.

Hooligan jumped when Shadow spoke up. Hooligan turned around to face him. "Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" he said slightly angry, "you made me jump half out of my skin." He turned to Red, "talk to your boss I need time to recover from almost being scared to death."

"We're doin' just fine, sir," said Redwood. "There ain't nothin' y'all gotta worry about right now."

 

She was of course lying about the possibility of her being pregnant, which was indeed something to worry about.

 

She then turned to Hooligan and said, "Oh, get over yerself. Ah'm pretty sure that y'all can take more than Shadow sneakin' up."

Shadow smiled and said as he bowed a little,

"Sorry for scaring you, you must be worried about something to jump, or maybe you saw a ghost and me talking made you jump."

He made his shadow lift off the ground behind him and started waving its arm like a ghost.

Hooligan saw Shadows shadow and rolled his eyes, "Ha ha," he said sarcastically, "but I'll have you know I ain't afraid of no ghost." Hooligan wondered if anyone got his reference but decided to forget about it. "I hear that inspection went well," said Hooligan with a grin.

"Well, we actually kinda got interrupted when Kurren$y kinda crashed th' prison bus he was gettin' transported in," said Redwood. "But y'all already know that it ended up fine." A sly grin came across Redwood's face. Of course Hooligan knew things went well. He had gotten his reward after all.

His shadow reached out and tapped Hooligan on the nose, then he said,

"Everyone's afraid of something, even me. The inspection went well, and I found some information out on what been going on outside of this prison. Oh, that reminds me, I'm heading out tomorrow to gather some stuff. If you two need anything, write down a list and I'll pick it up, but nothing that will help you break out."

(He's joking with the tap on the nose)

"That's awefully nice of you Shadow," Hooligan said with a slightly confused look in his face. He didn't think Shadow was this nice. He usually acted like a big asshole. Maybe Hooligan had just been bias this whole time, "if we think of anything we'll let you know."

"How about a bottle of tequila?" chuckled Redwood. "Ah don't got nearly enough booze to help me deal with this one." she pointed to Hooligan and chuckled. "In all seriousness though, how come y'all ain't gonna be here tomorrow, sir?"

 

It simply seemed a bit odd that Shadow would be leaving.

I'm almost out of stuff, I have to find another food, and have to do something real quick that Celestia told me about. I'm not going to be gone all day, just a few hours, and I think you, Nightmare, and the guard can hold the prison together while I'm gone

Personally Hooligan didn't really care where Shadow was going. What really mattered was that he was gonna be gone for the morning, leaving more time for Hooligan and Redwood to be alone. "I should probably be getting back to my cell now Shadow," he said.

"Hooligan's right. Ah'll escort him back," said Redwood before poking him fairly gently in the back with her baton and beginning to walk off. "And again, y'all don't gotta worry about anything, sir."

 

She was fairly confident that she would be able to hold the fort down. Like she said, she was able to handle the princesses inspection.

Hooligan walked beside Red until he remembered what she said about worrying about the possible pregnancy. He stopped, "Red next time you get the chance you should use the tester," said surprisingly seriously, "and if it's positive I think we should tell Doc."
