"Hopefully, that was the last remark that you're going to make to me, I make time here enjoyable as the best it can be, or a living nightmare. It's your choice."

He opened a portal, grabbed his scythe, and closed it as he was looking at it.

Even as Mercury grew nearer to the voice, it remained muffled. She found herself trotting down into the cell blocks. Iron bars passed by on both sides as she walked. It added an unusual feeling of openness to the space, Mercury decided.

 

A second voice joined the first in reply. It was also masculine, and, though a little hoarse, was definitely within the equine spectrum. Only as she got closer could she make out the words.

 

In a cell, huh? she thought to herself. It whet her curiosity to as razor sharp a point as her horn. Only a few blank cell doors passed before she had found the source.

 

A hunched, large, vaguely equine figure figure was silhouetted on the cell door, hissing words to a smaller figure underneath it. She realized that the small one was actually fairly large by equine standards. The other simply had broad wings.

 

She thought she could see the smaller stallion shivering. She listened to the conversation for a second before acting through her lightly modified suppression ring.

 

Shadow felt a razor sharp shard of glass press against his neck, suspended in dull, gray telekinesis.

Kurren$y rapped the floor a couple of times as even further pressure was applied to his leg and had to bite his tongue in order to keep from shouting. Kurren$y started to disassociate from his normal frame of mind. Punch drunk. . . s***. at least I can't feel quite as much. Shock's not the best state of mind, I'ma end up unconscious if he clips me right.

 

Kurren$y then noticed a distortion around Shadows figure that wasn't there moments ago. He couldn't make out what it was though, he was barely conscious at this point and his senses had been heavily suppressed by the ever-increasing force on his broken leg.

 

"OH S***! Boss man bout to harvest some wheat!" You must be lost, there ain't no farms near here. Get on with yo Grim Reaper looking a**."

 

Might as well try one last time. Kurren$y stood up, unable to maintain himself he fell towards Shadow, trying to get inside the range of the scythe. As he fell Kurren$y lunged for the hinge joint in Shadow's leg and struck lateral to the direction the joint bends.

Shadow toppled, then he picked himself up and said as he released the pressure and the shadow fell off of Kurren$y

"Think you had enough, I don't want to write a death report on you."

Shadow grabbed the shard of glass and crushed it, then he turned to Mercury and said,
"Did you know that threatening the warden will get you punished above all."

Mercury took a single step back, running her eyes over Shadow. She needed a weakness. Fortunately, it was obvious after only a cursory examination. "What do you mean, sir?" she asked, pointing to her horn ring. "I don't have my magic anymore, you know that."

 

She mentally prepared herself, glancing to the silver waterfall that decorated her flank. Special-talent spells were a joy to cast, but she hadn't needed this one in a long time.

Kurren$y laid on the floor unconscious.

 

Upon realizing Shadow ceased his intimidation tactics, Kurren$y decided it was as good a time as any to fall into the warmth and comfort of sleep. He only hoped this wouldn't be permanent. Not that it would be a bad thing, Kurren$y would never be able to notice. At least he would've died doing what he loved: fighting the man.

"Judging by the there was a glass piece in midair, and Kurren$y is in too much pain to do anything. you must have tampered with your ring.

Shadow turned to the cell to see Kurren$y unconscious, then he opened a portal underneath him and dropped him on his bed.

Mercury tilted her head. "What?" she said. "I was just waiting for you to finish so I could introduce myself to the prisoner, sir. It must have been someone else. Maybe sabotage?"

 

Mercury shuffled her hooves. She didn't start channeling her magic, that would be a major mistake. Instead, she simply waited for Shadow to act.

"That's probably a good idea," said Redwood as she walked with Hooligan back to his cell.

 

Now it seemed like having a child wasn't so bad. Hooligan was willing to reform himself, and she could probably persuade Shadow and Nightmare to release him and make him a guard. It might be a bit of a struggle, but it looked like she could start a family.

"Hooligan," said Redwood as they reached his cell. "Ah love you." She made sure nobody was looking before giving him a loving kiss. "We'll get through this." Redwood then gently pushed Hooligan into his cell and walked off.

As Redwood was walking back, she saw Spellvamp putting Kurrn$y into some sort of cocoon. 

 

"What th' hell is goin' on here?" she demanded.

"Well I found Kk here when he droped from nowhere on his bed and he was nearly dead so I did the only thing that I new put him in cocon that will heal him and don't worry I can't convert him I am not a roayal changeling or in my case roayal half-changling" Spellvamp said as he closed the cocon with the Kk in it "and congats you have a bayby and now do not freak out but when I suck the magic out of you I senced a secon sourse of magic the baby and do not worry I will not harm the foal in any way shape or form not agein" Spell said

"I want you to get a new ring, cause no guards here would sabotage it. I want you to go find Redwood and ask for a new ring in case of tampering with. I have to get ready for tomorrow."

How could he have known she was pregnant? Redwood couldn't think of any way he could have found out.

This wasn't good. Somehow, he had figured out that she was pregnant, but how? Redwood had only told Doc and Hooligan, and she still had the pregnancy test hidden away.

Perhaps Redwood could leverage this to her advantage. The unfortunate truth was that Spellvamp knew, but he seemed to be sympathetic, surprisingly enough.

Redwood couldn't help but sympathize just a bit with Spellvamp now that she was going to have a child.

 

She bent down and said, "Listen, if y'all really wanna help me, keep an eye on Kurrn$y. He stabbed me earlier, and ah'm afraid he might end up pullin' somethin' again. And if he's plannin' somethin', y'all gotta tell me now."

Kurren$y woke up in a what he could only assume was a giant preservatives container. Feeling like he's in some science-fiction dream he remains calm.Good thing this isn't real, I'm just on some dream inside a dream type s***. Now I can dream while I'm dreaming! F*** yea!

 

Kurren$y then punctured a hole in the cocoon and proceeded to step out. As soon as he stood up he fell down in pain, still breaking his way out of the cocoon.

 

"F*** me! Nope! Nope! Not dead, not dreaming! F***********! Ahhh Gat. . .!" 

 

he took a few deep breaths and made the pain manageable. Taking in his surroundings he saw Spell crying on the floor and Mudflat standing in the doorway. Throwing his hands up in disappointment and disbelief he shouts

 

"Holy mother of GOD why are you still alive!? F****** S***!"

 

Kurren$y slammed his fist on the floor.

 

"I'm done. F*** it. I give up. F****** super-surgeon doctor ponies bringing everypony back to life!"

Probably the worst thing that could happen was that Kurren$y found out she was pregnant. He almost busted her for being with Hooligan, and no doubt he would absolutely ruin whatever plans Redwood made with Hooligan.
