How did you find MLP Forums?: Saw a panel from some of the moderators at BUCK 2016 and thought it'd be nice to finally interact with some other bronies, outside of those I met at the convention.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I'll try not to ramble, but here goes...I was introduced by a friend at school with Winter Wrap Up, and found myself drawn to it for a few reasons I didn't quite get at first. I loved the music, the art, the characters, everything about it...but that wasn't why I kept watching at first. As someone with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of Autism) I struggled immensely with social interactions, to the point where anything new would shut down my brain and I would just run and hide. But this show changed that. With it's simple/clear message and interesting stories, I was able to learn how to interact with other people, and slowly learned how to make friends, which eventually got my out of my mental hiding place, and able to experience more of the world, to the point where (to someone who doesn't know me), I don't appear to be autistic. I am now comfortable enough to interact with most people and not worry about freaking out. The show continues to help me with other situations as well, like a slight family feud which I was actually able to resolve by using "The Hooffields and McColts" as a reference.Though I never really acknowledged my love for the show until I found the music and videos around it in 2013/2014. I acknowledged myself as a Brony when I realised how happy I was watching the show, the characters, and everything that surrounded it. Since then, I've been proud to call myself a fan of this show, regardless of what people think or say.

Wow...never thought I'd get to say that...

 

Well, I'm not entirely sure what to say here, so I'll just spend the next few lines blurting out random stuff. Enjoy! :3

 

I'm 21 (22 in a week), I work for an IT company in the North of England. My main passions are ponies, music, anime, tech and science. 

I am quite crazy, but still somewhat coherent (I think, maybe...don't worry about...), so expect to have some madness here, there and everywhere. 

 

As explained above, I am autistic, though it rarely if ever shows. I am still a little introverted but I am getting better at interacting with people, especially after my recent trip to BUCK, which was not only the 2nd convention I had ever gone to, but the first time I had met another fan of the show.

Music is typically what drives me from day-to-day, as I find myself putting on something whenever I get the chance. From pottering around the house to walking to work, I will use any opportunity to get a good tune going; I walk through life with a beat in my heart and a bass in my step.

I enjoy gaming quite a bit as well. Typically I'm in Warframe, GTAV or Sins of a Solar Empire (Star Trek Armada 3 mod), though I find just as much fun excitement from researching the latest in tech and science.

I am willing to try most new things at least once, having dipped my toes in poetry, art (though not much), and even biology.

 

Best pony for me is split a little, but I'll save you reading another 3 paragraphs and just say that it's Vinyl Scratch for now.

As of right now I don't really have an OC but I would like to make one, so I might ask for some help with that (last time I tried it basically turned into Minuette, so that failed XD)

I have autism as well, so I can relate that way, and most people can't even notice that I have it. But I struggle with it and all. I remember my first convention back in 2012, that would be TrotCon back in Columbus, Ohio for it's first year. I had a blast and that convention started getting me more involved in the fandom, even though I have been into the show a year prior in June of 2011. It has been a long time I have been into the show and I have made tons of friends! Even though I still have many hardships and drama cause I have my own social issues and cause of the autism, but my friends (real friends) have been helping me with that. Well you have a good time here, and remember to have fun and make lots of friends! If you wanna chat, feel free to shoot up a PM!
