twiia 1,843 June 12, 2016 Share June 12, 2016 I don't have much money, and MS Paint absolutely sucks. I can't seem to download any better paint program either. baba_booey 4,302 June 12, 2016 Share June 12, 2016 I usually use paint.net myself. It's easily better than MS Paint, having more features and whatnot, and is easy to use. GIMP is also good from what I've heard.
Sir Xarthas VI 470 June 12, 2016 Share June 12, 2016 I use GIMP for everything. Lots of features, lots of customization (if you know how), and pretty straight forward to use... 1 For those who are curious: My main DS3 character is SL709 My Main OC: Clyssora
twiia 1,843 June 12, 2016 Author Share June 12, 2016 I've noticed a lot of people using GIMP and I do use Paint.net at school... I might try it out. 'Make me your Queen' Sig by Wheatley
Lisa 5,553 June 12, 2016 Share June 12, 2016 I recommend just going with Paint.net. GIMP is overly complicated.
Justin_Case001 4,881 June 12, 2016 Share June 12, 2016 I'd recommend Krita. It's as powerful as the latest photoshop, and possibly more so. Bit of a steep learning curve, though. But perhaps that's just because I'm so used to photoshop. Anyway, Krita is probably the best thing out there.
ThatOneComrade 1,091 June 12, 2016 Share June 12, 2016 For sure, Krita is the way to go if you want something more complex. For simplicity's sake, use Paint.net 1 href="/monthly_02_2014/post-8308-0-69609200-1393191794.png">

Pripyat Pony 2,608 June 26, 2016 Share June 26, 2016 MSpaint works fine for me. I also use programmes like Free Online Image Editor and ezimba for transparency and effects. 1 Signature and avatar by Pucksterv. Hazy Skies 1,010 June 26, 2016 Share June 26, 2016 (edited) It really depends on what you're looking at drawing.. If you're just starting out, GIMP or Paint.NET are good places to begin..If you want to just do more artsy drawing, try something like Krita or MediBangIf you want to make ponies that are vectored like from the show, use InkscapeWhichever type you choose, be that vector-based, pixel-based, or both.. Having the right program for you is important.. It'll help you make the art you enjoy easier to create rather than being a complete pain to use.. But yeah.. Have fun ^-^ Edited June 26, 2016 by AURAequine
twiia 1,843 June 26, 2016 Author Share June 26, 2016 Thanks or everypony's advice! I still use MS Paint but not much, I recently downloaded Paint.net and its working fine. twiia 1,843 June 26, 2016 Author Share June 26, 2016 I use GIMP and MediBang but I know you're already using Krita so.... On another forum I've been on, many people used GIMP and Paint.net, so maybe I'll try out some more applications till I find one that works best for me.
