"Slumberfur had a life before the clan?!" willowpaw said suprised "We have to find out what that life was like! I met a kittypet yesterday and the twoleg places sound so interesting!" she exclaimed enthausiasticly, but then realised that this wasn't the normal thing for clan cats to say "But... don't tell anyone that I think so, I just want to find out for research perposes only ofcourse, I love the clan and I would never betray them, but I'm just curious to how other cats live." she quickly explained since she didn't want anyone to question her loyalty towards the clan.

"But if you are going to bother him with it, I'm not coming ,just don't ask too much detail. And besides we all have heard how kittypets live: sleep, eat, sleep some more and maybe go outside"

Thunderclan camp, midday.

Owlheart led the small patrol toward the WindClan border, keeping his eyes and ears open for any suspicious activity. WindClan cats were fast, but ThunderClan was wary.   "Okay, watch closely," he instructed Amberpaw, then padded up to a tree to rub his paws against it, "mark our Clan's scent on the borders, like this."

Kitestar saw the patrol off with a flick of her tail and then headed back over to her mate beside their den. She scanned the camp, looking for that rogue again and wondering if he had already taken his leave in secret. After all, he hadn't seemed to much appreciate the company of the Thunderclan cats, it would seem.

 

Windclan territory, midday.

@@The Cerberus, @@P-Jay Featherfur hissed again at the mystery cat. He kept on glancing over at Flameheart, and was now aware that a Thunderclan patrol would probably also be beginning to head out, too.

'And Thunderclan are a curious bunch,' he thought. 'They'll likely be quite inquisitive and eager to find out what happened... Like they haven't already guessed.'

ThunderClan Territory, WindClan Border

 

Owlheart continued to mark the border lines with the Clan's scent, expecting Slumberfur was assisting and Amberpaw was at least paying attention.

 

"We renew the scent markers every morning," he explained to his apprentice, "so if another Clan intrudes, they will have no excuse."

 

He was taking his time with the markers, waiting for a WindClan patrol to pass by so he could ask them what happened with RiverClan.

"You didn't know he used to be kittypet? I thought everyone knew it." Darkpaw said as he moved to next elder. "But if you are going to bother him with it, I'm not coming ,just don't ask too much detail. And besides we all have heard how kittypets live: sleep, eat, sleep some more and maybe go outside"

willowpaw shrugged her shoulders and then got on her feet again and swayed her tail back and forth enthausiasticly "I'm not gonna bother him with it, don't worry, we have to find the answers out ourselves! of course we know how they live in general but we don't know the details, are you never curious to that? and even more interesting might be is how the twolegs live, they are so weird, do you never wonder how they live?" she said with a voice full of curiosity and enthausiasm.

Fireheart wondered who it or they could be who had been trespassing Windclan's territory and why, there really was nothing at the horseplace that they would have wanted.

As she was getting ready to leave she noticed cats at Windclan's side, there was the tom she had fought and smaller cat she figured to be apprentice, she noticed that they weren't happy with third cat who was with them, but still windclan warrior kept glancing at her. She just glanced back and turned to take her leave. But instead of going back to camp she hid close by and followed the situation.

Featherfur hissed again at the mystery cat. He kept on glancing over at Flameheart, and was now aware that a Thunderclan patrol would probably also be beginning to head out, too.

The cat approached them, just behind their border, on Thunderclan territory, and smiled pleasantly from where he was. "...Heyo!" He called out, waving a paw slightly. "I'm looking for someone, a kitten, about ye tall--" he gestured the height with his tail, "--obnoxious fellow, orange-pelted. You seen him?"

 

Mousepaw narrowed her eyes, backing slightly behind Featherfur. "I don't like him." She muttered.

@@P-Jay, Featherfur huffed as the unrecognized cat spoke in a strangely euphonious manner, lashing his tail but listening to what he had to say.

"No, we haven't," he confirmed with an unamused growl. "And if you're even considering venturing onto our territory to search for whoever he is..."

Featherfur stopped to realize that the Thunderclan patrol would be arriving at the border any second now, and they were bound to notice the mystery cat. He'd have to flee one way or another, and not onto Riverclan territory, either.

Slumberfur made his part at marking the territory as he followed Owlheart. "So, Owlheart what you think. How truthful will Windclan be about their reasoning for attack?"

 

Owlheart turned to Slumberfur, eyes narrowed in warning. But the glare wasn't meant for his Clanmate. "For their sake, they should be very truthful. Lies have nearly torn the Clans apart many times before."

 

He turned back to Amberpaw. "Are you paying attention?" he meowed, sounding a little irritable.

 

The scent of WindClan wafted through his senses, but he thought nothing of it. They were at the border after all.

 

...although, he could swear he was catching the scent of another. A scent he hadn't recognised. He kept quiet, waiting to see if anyone else could catch it.

Darkpaw thought about Willowpaw's question. He didn't like the idea of going to twolegs place. He knew that twolegs places can be dangerous, Twolegs, Dogs, monsters and thunderpaths, even some Kittypets could be dangerous, but he liked the idea of little adventure, and he couldn't let Willowpaw go alone, it would be too dangerous for a one cat. "Maybe" He answered carefully.

Darkpaw thought about Willowpaw's question. He didn't like the idea of going to twolegs place. willowpaw purred happily, maybe was good enough for her. "that's great!" she said happily. then she remembered why she was origionally here, to help darkpaw with the elders. she picked up the moss that she had dropped at some point, and she cleaned up the nests of the elders.

Darkpaw continued with mite removal, luckily there wasn't many and he was able to move to next elder at reasonable pace. He was considering if he should tell someone about Willowpaw's plans, maybe Slumberfur, he would know how dangerous it could be, but Darkpaw chose to keep quiet about it.

@@P-Jay, "Not a chance, rogue," Featherfur replied to the cat, a snarl rumbling in his throat and his claws digging into the ground below his paws. "If we happen upon him, we might just come and find you (if you're lucky, and we're in a great mood), but you aren't setting a paw in out territory."

 

"Featherfur?" Lavenderpaw piped up from where she stood just to the right of him. "He can't do any harm if we escort him, right? This cat might get caught up in some trouble..."

Featherfur just ignored the considerate words of his apprentice and focused on the opposing cats next move.

@@P-Jay Featherfur glanced over to Riverclan's territory after spying Flameheart turning back and heading back to her camp. He assumed that she would tell the Riverclan leader the details of what was happening currently, as he focussed again on the mystery cat.

(almost unhearable whisper) For his relief scent was too weak to come from close by and he figred it was either old one or wind brought it from deeper of the Windlan territory.

Willowpaw looked up. "oh yea, I'm ready" she said. if she was honest she was finished a while ago already but she had gotten lost in thoughts about how it would be like to live as a kitty-cat.

She padded out of the elders den and went to a nice and sunny place in the clearing, there she stretched and yawned "What a nice afternoon!" she laid down and started washing herself lazily.

Stormstar padded around the camp clearing, looking rather on edge after the battle with WindClan. His ear flicked involuntarily as he awaited an update from the patrol.

Darkpaw followed Willowpaw out and glanced over the camp to see Slumberfur anywhere but figured he was either on patrol or taking a nap somewhere. So, due lack of Slumberfur, Darkpaw joined Willowpaw at the sunny clearing and laid down.

 

Moonshine came out of her den and saw the two young apprentices being lazy at the clearing. she smiled and padded over to them "sorry to disturbe you two but would you mind it to go help me find some herbs, I'm low on stocks and it doesn't seem like you two are verry busy at the moment. unless you have other things to do of course" She asked the two young cats. 

 

willowpaw looked up when she moonshine addressed them "ahw, I wanted to take a nap in the sun!" she half complained, but she got up anyway "what am I saying, of course I'll come with you. are you comming too, darkpaw?"

Moonshine came out of her den and saw the two young apprentices being lazy at the clearing. she smiled and padded over to them "sorry to disturbe you two but would you mind it to go help me find some herbs, I'm low on stocks and it doesn't seem like you two are verry busy at the moment. unless you have other things to do of course" She asked the two young cats. 

 

willowpaw looked up when she moonshine addressed them "ahw, I wanted to take a nap in the sun!" she half complained, but she got up anyway "what am I saying, of course I'll come with you. are you comming too, darkpaw?" 

Darkpaw got up. "Slumberfur isn't here and I have nothing to do so....Yes, of course." He wasn't really a napping type, so he wasn't against collecting some herbs, and it would be a good excuse to see little bit more of the territory.

Once the rogue had left, Featherfur turned with a dismissive flick of his tail towards the Windclan camp. The party headed back, but diverted slightly after spotting the Thunderclan patrol.

"Why are we heading over there?" Lavenderpaw asked.

"I expect they're curious. You know what Thunderclan are like," Featherfur replied. "And we might as well ask them about that rogue. They've probably seen him before if he came from their territory."

"Who knows," Owlheart murmured, still keeping an eye out for any sign of the WindClan patrol. "They may still be recovering from the attack... wait, someone's coming."
