Even the Bananas, Mushrooms, etc. are more practical.

For me it is the rubberbanding A.I. from Mario Kart 64. When playing on the 150cc and Reverse courses, the A.i. always has like two chosen characters that will always be able to keep up with you at nearly all times. Breaks the experience that way. That game is also sprinkled throughout with other problems, due to limitations of the system.

 

 

Oh and Mario Kart Wii. All of it.

The Spiny Shell. No matter how much times and confident I am of winning when in first place, I worry about someone trying to mess me up every time with it.

IMO, the Bullet Bill would've been an excellent replacement.

 

It's far less cheap for everyone else, and it actually benefits the user a whole lot more.
