Diamond Tiara & Silver Spoon

Am I the only one who liked Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon before season 5 don't get me wrong i still like them both i much rather have them as enemies for the cmc but them getting their cutie marks kinda contradicts my arguement but either way i liked them before

Outside of episodes like One Bad Apple and Flight To The Finish, Diamond and Silver never bothered me that much when they were enemies of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. What bothered me is that they were very one note bullies who had little to no personalities. The writers could have had them be interesting characters while still making fun of their rivals, but they just went with the bland route instead. Also the fact that they it took five seasons to reformed them and well after Discord and Gilda were was disappointing. I'm hoping now that they are friends with the CMC, we can learn more about them (especially Silver Spoon).

Yea Im glad that we got to know at least a little bit about Diamond Tiara and why she is so mean but the parents being the reason the character is mean is a bit overused,I hope we get more info on Diamond Tiara's and Silver Spoon's life and i agree they were preety one dimentional characters and could have had more depth to their character's

I think they were overdue for a change. For the most part they were just generic bullies being huge c***s to the CMC and they never did much apart from that while never made them interesting. Now they've made their peace with the two maybe can try to show their good side. Maybe have them try to make up to the CMC by trying to do as many good deeds as possible, though the CMC would forgive them and say they don't need to make up. A good lesson to forgive and forget

I was able to tolerate them, but I really liked Diamond Tiara's redemption in Crusaders of the Lost Mark.

It kind of reminded me of Pacifica from Gravity Falls.

I liked them just fine as characters because they created an emotional conflict which can lead to excellent narrative options. I hated them ... and loved them because of it!

They weren't that bad, I actually thought they were a perfect addition to the CMC's story. Now their redemption kinda bothers me.

When you look at it though, bullies really are one note. They take that one thing that they know bothers you down to your core and they pick, and pick, and pick, until you just snap.

 

They needed to have a revelation though, I think that up until their big episode there should have been a bit more growth, at least with Silver Spoons. I think that having it all in one episode was a bit much. If there had been a few episodes where Diamond Tiara was so harsh even to her "best" friend that Silver Spoons finally started to realize that she didn't want to be that type of pony anymore, and stop following her every word would have been nice. We could have got a bit more character development from her.

 

Who knows, maybe we will see some more of these two, maybe rebuilding their friendship after the whole election thing went down.

 

I don't think we have really seen them together since then so, there is a possibility.
