He walked towards the hilltop he came from the same morning, Carrot Top closely behind.

"Oh, no you don't."

She said, and blocked his path, but he just walked around her.

"We are NOT flying in that thing again! Besides, would you really sacrifice one pony for another?"

"Well, to answer your first question, it's the only way we can time travel, and to answer your second question, we probably did it already, so it's safe to assume the changeling kept it's word."

shadow blinked and followed the doctor, "why are we headed up here?"

He smiled, a huge grin of happiness.

"oh celestia, how he loves this part" Carrot Top thought, rolling her eyes.

They walked up to a blue phone box, a black sign on the top reading "pony call phone box".

He looked back at the group of ponies.

"Step in, please."

"Wait hold on, what? A telephone booth?!?" Ali was starting to slightly question The Doctors methods.

 

"Also, if anypony could be a changeling, as you said so, how do we know that you aren't a changeling, and are leading us to our doom?"

His smile expanded even more, the only thing Carrot Top could think of was "Oh for the love of Luna" before he opened the door for them, pushing them inside.

"Welcome to the TARDIS."

shadow dancer blinked, "this place.....is HUGE....it looks so small from the outside.....holy celestia." she couldnt help but trot around the interesting machine, "wow, umm, what does TARDIS stand for anyway?" she poked a button and the lights came on.

Ali, even through her skepticism, couldn't help but be amazed.

 

She leaned over to Ivy and whispered "He may be a crack, but he's an impressive crack."

"Time And Relative Dimensions In Space."

He closed the doors and walked up to the console.

"And for the last time, I can hear you. I'm not a crack."

"Yes you are."

Carrot Top was standing on the other side of the console.

"No I'm not."

"Just get this thing in the past or whenever and lets save Derpy."

He seemed quite happy with the response, and just decided to do so.

"Everypony hold on. I'll have to build a paradox machine, it might be a bumpy ride."

He opened a compartment and extracted a few cables, laying them down everywhere, before grabbing a big lever on the main console.

"Three... Two... One... Wibbly wobbly!"

He pulled down, and everything went white in a flash of light.

"And for the last time, I can hear you. I'm not a crack."

 

"Fine," Ali thought. "You're not a crack."

 

At that moment, there was a flash of blinding bright light.

He woke up suddenly, realizing that the group of ponies was still unconscious in front of him. But something was missing...

Then it hit him.

"Where's the TARDIS? Where's Carrot Top?!"

"first of all, let's check if it worked."

He looked at the moon.

"Look!"

The figure of an alicorn appeared on the lunar disc, giving an eerie atmosphere to the night.

"At least we know we can get in with the plan."

 

...

 

Carrot Top didn't know what to do. She witnessed everything: the Doc pulling the lever, the white flash, and the whole group disappearing.

"He probably got himself killed! How am I supposed to get home?!"

She then heard a low, painful moan from the other side of the controls. Somepony was still there!

"Doctor, I would ask where we are, but I have a feeling the better question is: When are we?" Ali nervously asked.

[Doctor Whooves™ 332]

"I have no idea! Isn't it brilliant?"

He said, giggling in excitement.

[Parties like Pinkie 385]

"Uh.... right, well, judging from the Alicorn on the moon, I'd say we're sometime between, oh, i don't know, 1000 years prior and the present day?" She said, her voice raising on each word.

"nah, it doesn't look that fresh. I'd say five years tops."

He inspected his surroundings, spotting a collection of lights not so far away.

"See? Ponyville!"

He started to trot towards it, but suddenly stopped, looking back at them with the most serious face he ever had, and that's serious.

"now, remember, there is ONE rule in time travel you must always remember: DON'T cross your timeline. Stay away from whatever places you frequented five years ago, got it? We're just looking for an easily replaceable pony and an inexperienced changeling. Nothing else. The paradox machine can take just a certain amount of strain."

That said, he trodden towards Ponyville, but rethought his route and decided to walk to Sweet Apple Acres instead.

Ivy got up and rubbed her head as she'd been following Ali. She didn't know why she was following Ali but something in her gut told her it was a good idea. She got out of the TARDIS slowler then everypony else. "Ok we can't cross are time line" She paused and looked around. Ivy stood there looking around so confused, "5 years ago... the year i got my cutie mark..." She remembered. She looked at Ali waiting for her to lead on.

Running up to the Doctor, she asked "And what exactly DOES happen if we cross our timelines?"

Ivy ran up behide Ali and looked around and wondered. "Well i'm guessing you mess up time some what..." She paused and carried along. Ivy had no idea what she was on about but she loved guessing games!

Ivy sighed in relief "Thats good, to think what would happen if we stood there" she paused. "The doctor said we where looking for a gray pony right?"
