searching Pokémon: Rise of a Legend

I guess your character could feasibly work, assuming that there is at least one trainer that hasn't already gone on a journey, though would it be possible for him to start off with the same Pokemon as everyone else? I want things to be as fair as possible.

considering the fact that he likely isn't going to be using anything other then a rattata, and raticate, i think he's pretty balanced enough as it is. because it'll be no time at all before other's starter pokemon get stronger then his own.

Ok/ In that case, you're good to go. Just submit your character.

Yeah. I planned on just doing the RP like a mix between the anime and game, minus the reset on any experience a trainer had beforehand in the former. I don't know what or if I'll include the pc system, though. I may, so long as someone doesn't pull out a freaking rayquaza that can mega evolve at the start.

Kari's going into this new region totally unarmed ;)

Name: Gene H. Wilder

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Trainer Class: Normal

Home town: Blackthorn

Biography: Gene is from Jhoto, Blackthorn City. As he grew in his environment, he naturally, was drawn towards the Gym in the area--quickly becoming 'that guy' that tells you about the Gym's Pokemon types, match-ups, and general nature of the Gym Leader, that resides at the start of the Gym, next to the statues. But unlike the other informants, he found himself watching challengers, as they went along...How they battled, how his own Gym Leader retaliated, he made it a point to record exactly how some Pokemon were felled, by easier means--or how some Pokemon triumphed, over cunning strategies. Every afternoon, after schooling, he would spend his time in the Gym, and simply observe. Years passed, and he eventually caught a Rattata, for himself, and began his own adventure.

But he would have an edge, over other novices. After years, of watching experts fight for years, he had picked up quite a few ways of battling--and had even memorized various strategies, for various Pokemon he might fight against. Using naught but a Rattata, he would often times rise to any challenge presented to him...And conquer it, with flying colors.

Personality: Gene has a rather self-confident personality, often times, he can be seen with a smug smirk playing at his lips. He's, contradictorily enough, both an extrovert, and introvert. He has no problem, sitting in the sidelines, and observing the world around him--nor is he shy, in mingling with others, when he feels there's a valuable connection to be made. Suave, flowing, and knowledgeable, he's possibly one of the greater conversationalists of his generation, gifted with a knack for drawing people in with his alluring mystic. Generally, an easy-going person, who introduces himself to people he finds either popular or powerful...Although, oddly enough, he doesn't seek out the top dog, in hopes of being popular...

Ambitions - Conquering the Pokemon League

Skills and Advantages - His experience from watching Gym Leaders and expert trainers has instilled a rather strategic mindset in his person--and he'd often times know peculiar weaknesses a species might have. Such as knowing an Onix is just long enough, to be tangled up in itself, or that a Wobbuffet's tail is a weak point. There's a reason he's been doing just fine, with just two Pokemon, after all...

I'll add him to the list. This is certainly a diverse group we have here. A dragon tamer, a psychic, a lass, a veteran, two scientists, a guide, and whatever minikirb comes up with.

Gimme a bit to write in her history please Drago. I take a bit to come up with a good one. It's not easy to create characters for this one. PJ understands why and how the process works better than most.

You're already accepted, but I'm sure you'll come up with a good story. Besides, I'm still waiting on one user to make a character.

ALRIGHTY IM HERE IM STARTING MY CHARACTER IS NOW IN THE WORKS SORRY FOR THE WAIT EVERYONE

Name: Violet Willow
Trainer Class: Lass
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Home town: Oldale Town (Hoenn)

Biography:

Born in Cypress City, Violet always had a special affinity for grass-type pokemon. She led a rather peaceful, albeit simple, childhood, and she enjoyed spending her afternoons around her family and befriending the pokemon she came across. She had several good friends in the city, but preferred spending her time in the woods and flower fields around the town.

With little ambition and little desire for change, she happily grew up not even considering the prospect of battling or really capturing pokemon. Her parents, somewhat worried for their daughter’s lack of independence, decided to send her off on a pokemon adventure, hoping it would lead her to growth and personal achievements. Initially hesitant, she was convinced when her father told her of all the new pokemon she could meet, especially within the fabled Cypress City, and she was soon aboard the next plane to Algard.

Personality:

Ditzy and a little airheaded, Violet is a soft-spoken, kind, placid girl who cares more deeply for her pokemon than most would assume. She can’t help but get a little too attached, and, when not battling, allows her pokemon out of the pokeball so they can follow her around on foot. She is a little shy and gets flustered easily, blushing at the drop of a hat. Unexpectedly, she is also rather determined – she doesn’t want to disappoint her parents or her pokemon, and will go to any lengths to protect those she cares about.

Ambitions:

Develop a deep bond with all her pokemon, and capture every grass pokemon that exists in the region while growing and becoming the best trainer she can be (whether she is the strongest or not).

Skills and Advantages:

She is a brilliant cook (human and pokemon), and also has a good knowledge of first aid for both pokemon and people. Violet is also exceptionally good at befriending pokemon, whether they be wild or someone elses.

Oh she looks just fine. Better than anything I could've done at least. She's in.

As a side note, I will try to put the RP soon. I don't know when, but it will be up.

I just thought of something, what are we going to do about status ailments that occur in fights that are rng based, mainly infatuation, sleep, and confusion? I know there are rpg sites that have a dice roll function for just that, but can we use them for the rp and have the winner post the entire battle?

And Magos and I have been talking about my profile to get it completed

I figured as much. Nothing of importance has happened yet aside from the starters and pokedexs being distributed. Everyone is basically socializing at the moment.

Finally have a history. What do you think Drago?

I'm sorry for holding you guys up. There's not been a lot of motivations to be creative as of late with my extremely aged grandmother in bad shape. I can RP but there hasn't been much motivation making and adapting stuff.

Everything's good to go, and I understand. Hopefully everything works out for the better on your end. :)

Honestly, I'm not complaining. This lull in activity just gives me more time to take care of the gym leaders and the big bad crime syndicate of the region. As for the legendary, there will be only one and it will be impossible to catch.

As a side note, should I include mega evolutions?
