Really sorry about this. I keep meaning to, and then mom wants to go out and I come home tired as all heck, fall asleep, and then it's the next day. There are some people who tire you out emotionally and physically just being around them all day while being dragged around but you love them a whole lot. She's one such person

That's understandable. Feel free to post whenever you're ready.

At this point, we've pretty much slowed to a crawl until you come aboard. Half the group's just hanging out around the lab, and the other half are on boats to the first major location.

Actually, the characters that were on boats are now in the next town. Right now, we're just talking amongst ourselves, though

Huh. Is he out of mons by now or something? Kinda disappointed about no regional Fire type. Drago would you object to her requesting a randomizer reroll for at least a Fire type? Not necessarily regional unless you feel like it.

Hmmmm.... I guess that could work, but only one can be rerolled.

Sounds fair. Will be requesting the Sneasel to be rerolled into a 3 form Fire type then. As I said, not necessarily regional unless you feel like obliging me.

Ok. Also, there are no new Pokémon, assuming that's what you meant by regional. If I'm wrong, then I just made myself look foolish.

Sometimes it turns out longer than a day though. You know very well mom needs me and the both of us have been really depressed about grandma. She's not getting better..........

Oh, you were talking about your posting, not mine. Don't worry, take all the time you need. I'm not one to judge.

Good news everyone. I have taken care of most of the story elements for the RP. As for what the criminals are planning, I shall only give two clues. DNA and Pokemon types. Zelkovia and his research will also be related to the group in some way. As for what I said about mega evolution, such a thing will be implemented in the RP, but with a few nerfs. The mega stones will be extremely hard to find and will not be given away freely. Along with that, mega evolution will take a lot of energy and may also put a strain on both trainer and Pokemon. Therefore, it can only be used once every three fights and only once in a specific fight and cannot be used on a fully evolved Pokemon until said Pokemon has been through five fights.

Example:

Your gabite evolves into a garchomp and you have a garchompite. Despite this, you cannot use mega evolution until the garchomp has fought in five battles and it can only mega evolve once in a battle and cannot mega evolve until it has been through three battles.

This is maintain some semblance of balance for megas and to make sure someone doesn't power through every fight with only one Pokemon. If I need to add anything, feel free to add your own thoughts.

P.S.

Anything like Ash-Greninja will not occur in the RP.

Mind quoting me please?

I just have one question. How will this work for characters who may already have the stones needed?

Hmm. The same rules would still apply. Assuming that you only have charizardie x/y, then it shouldn't be that much of a problem if you don't use charizard until much later or at all.

Both. And Blaziken too, but got it thanks. It's probably gonna be at all though, unless flying around becomes a thing.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens. That reminds me.

@Acnologia @Unicorncob @TheGoldenRoman @MiniKirby123

Should the need arise, you will be able to ride pokemon for transport over water and to previously visited towns, or just in general should the pokemon be big enough to carry a person. Thankfully, no hms required. They will instead be tms. I will also be compiling a list of tms that will be available at the current moment in the rp and add more as people begin to gain gym badges.

Sorry. I will have to duck out.

I will have to slack up activity due to me upping my caseload at work (I am in Louisiana, and we are working on reaching clients who were affected by the storm). So, I will have to sacrifice this spot in the  to make sure I post adequately in the ones I am alraedy in.

With that, the RP is now open to submissions.

Since this slot is still open and I finished with all my extra workload, things have calmed down (Translation: I am not working 55 Hours this week).

I'd like to still join this RP. I have even finished my profile if it is acceptable.

Name Marian “Orchid” Hikari
Trainer Class Furisode
Gender M.A.L.E.
Age S.I.X.T.E.E.N.
Home town Celadon City
Biography Starting from the beginning…

Marian was a young boy who had dreams of becoming a Pokemon Trainer (Age Six at the time). However, his family had their own reputation and their own business when it came to the Pokemon World, and that was the synthetic creations of Pokemon Medicines and Herbs that prove to be vital in treating Pokemon and Humans that had rare or severe ailments alike. This was very important because of not only how they contributed to society, but also how they damaged it with their research.

Marian was very soft spoken, but very proud of his family. He shown this by taking a personal interest in their research. Even at the youngest stage of the medicine store, “Floaroma Pharm” (Short for Floaroma Pharmaceuticals), they started in a small wooden cabin that used an outback greenhouse to continue growing plants and using the chemical compounds from the local Grass-type and Poison-type Pokemon to create some very powerful remedies that cured common paralysis and poison exposures, and beyond after understanding other status damages from Pokemon. Humans benefited from this because some of the medicines cured some of the most severe ailments found in human beings.

Marian’s pride grew, all the way to his mid-teen years (Age thirteen) where he had tossed away the notion of becoming a Pokemon-Trainer in order to take on his family’s research and learn about Pokemon that had the ability to produce powerful cures. Marian had found that his family had acquired prestige, and because of this, he was not teased as much, virtually to none as before he was bullied by other children because of his feminine-like looks and appearance. This minimized as he was known to be the next in line to take over the family’s business, but this also had instilled fear in others who knew this rumor…for some reason.

As Marian turned fourteen, his mother and father had taken the chance to teach him more things about the Pokemon World, especially the mechanics about battles and how it would affect the types of medicines they made. He learned about Pokemon from the most basic things, not knowing why, but when he started to learn about the different berries grown and how these were combined with different Pokemon who produced rare powders and compounds, he was thrilled to take advantage of the knowledge. He cared very little about battling at this point, and simply was throwing himself about learning more about the Pokemon World in order to exceed his family when it came to medicines so he could not only earn their respect, but everyone else’s, and maybe they would befriend him.

It was later this same year, Marian had become incarcerated by the authorities in suspicion for selling biological weapons and dangerous synthetic drugs to local criminal organizations. When Marian protested to the very end that he had simply made medicine, he had been released as the authorities had rendered him innocent of all charges, and instead arrested the true culprits: his parents.

Most of Marian’s life started to make sense from then on: the fear from local residences, the abundance of wealth, and not to mention some of the item effects that were given to some Pokemon that he seen vary in so many illnesses around his local area.

Marian felt foolish, and even then as he gotten older (Age Fifteen) he felt a hate for his family that not even he could have imagined would come of him in one simple year. He had refused to return contact to his mother and father, refused to create medicine for any of the local shops anymore as his family done so before, and even more so set to cut himself off from others. The desire for friendship had become very nonexistent and his focus was mostly in making amends as he moved from Kanto to the Sinnoh Region and created a Log Cabin-estate that hosted many rooms where people could lay their tired heads. The violet haired boy blended into the themes of his new home, Floaroma Town as he pinned his hair using a Gracidea Flower, and feigned ignorance of his past life to escape the surveillance of the authorities and abandon his past. He named his new establishment, The Orchid Inn, and his new alias “Orchidaceae (Orchid for Short)” as reflected by his taste for Grass Pokemon and his shades of violet in his hair.

As he turned Sixteen, “Orchid” had rested many Pokemon Trainers in his Inn, and done so with the rule that battling was not allowed inside his inn. However, overtime, he had become convinced that his knowledge and skills could not just be used to battle, but to help the world as expressed through certain clients who was impressed by his knowledge of medicines that healed Pokemon. With this in mind, Orchid had decided to apply this thesis somewhere else: a new region that was without knowledge of whom he and his family really was.

Personality

Orchid is very tamed and kept to himself.

When it comes to himself, he seems to be very hard on himself. He continuously sings grim songs or dark poems to himself as if to reflect his guilt. Regardless, he does this with a smile, taking pride once loss in what he does. He is not the best at carrying conversation in his opinion, and he is not the smartest when it comes to trying to understand other people’s feelings. However, he does his very best to not hurt anyone in anyway as he feels guilty enough about knowing just what his family’s biological weapons and chemicals have done to the world of Pokemon.

Orchid, when it comes to others, is very considerate. Pokemon or Human beings alike, he had been taught that they both have benefits and things to offer. He takes advantage of these things in an appreciative way as he sees the best in people. However, his hate for his parents makes him very unforgiving when it comes to people looking at others as tools and being inconsiderate. This is a personal issue as it seems, no matter the explanation, he shows complete rage towards people who may feel they have no option, even if for the purest reasons and with deepest sorrow.

Even if enraged by these things, Orchid can be seen to be slow to anger when it comes to someone hurting him or even doing something to him. This mostly stems from his own guilt towards himself, to the point that if he were to be a shield for his Pokemon or his friends (if he had any) he would, but all in the ends meet that his self-seen worthlessness serves some other purpose than to hurt someone else.

However, he still dislikes battle…but yet…it is the best way to express a real cynical side of himself where he becomes objective due to his training as a medicinal specialist. He has a deep pride etched into his medicines, and he demonstrates this by attempting to overpower his foes with status conditions and binding techniques that would make battles become easy due to the helplessness of the Pokemon he face.

He always says, “I won’t hurt you…but I will make it so that you can’t fight.”

Ambitions

To be the best medicinal trainer the world was to ever know…

Orchid wants to strive to make a mark in the Pokemon World through showing that, with even battling, Pokemon can be cared for properly. He desires to make amends and separate his name from his family by becoming a renown trainer that is able to care for healthy Pokemon while also climbing the ladder to the Pokemon League to be a Champion that would signify that proper care for your Pokemon bodily and mentally is the best way to live your lives as trainer or whatever way you choose to live happily by Pokemon.

However, with his abilities and past catching up to him as he starts his journey, that maybe more difficult than he thinks as his true identity comes to light.

Skiils and Advantages

Trained to take advantage of nature and the natural abilities of Pokemon, Orchid knows very well how the environment and how a Pokemon’s health can affect the battle. He can predict the levels of toxicity with ease of most Pokemon attacks due to this term being a common core in the medical field. If he was to use the Stun Spore of an Ivysaur or the small barbs of a Nidorina, he will be able to know how much time a Pokemon had before they would lose consciousness from the toxic exposure, or even how long they had before reaching fatal levels that would cause severe organ damage.

Combine this with his knowledge of the environment and where certain herbs, plants, and berries are, the world is Orchid’s own personal Pokemon Lab and every foe that dares cross him is his next patient on the operating table.

Additional Information-

Special items/Attachments on Character: Sprayduck, Gracidea (Pinned to hair), Honey, & Perfume Bottle (Empty)

Trainer Type: Furisode – His appearance revolves around the red hues of silk robes that adorn his average body, his arms are draped with the cloth (true to the name), and his shoulder length hair is pinned to the right side where it drapes and is placed perfectly by the Gracedia Flower. His eyes are colored blue, his left cheek imprinted with a heart, and his feet adorned by tightly woven flex sandals that make it feel as if he is wearing nothing, but the soles thick enough to resist most terrain.

Face Claim: Jun Watarase from the anime Happiness

He's accepted. Can't wait to see what happens.

That being said, Magos has dropped out so there is still one slot open, assuming he doesn't return.
