Had to modify your title to fit. Went with 2-parter since only the finale's and premiere's are two episode stories.

Heh, that's funny because just this morning I was wondering whether putting all 3 generations of Spike together like they do from time to time in Doctor Who would be a worthy story.

 

Sadly, I don't know much about G1 and G3 Spike except from what DFC has shown and Youtube, and they don't look too interesting - aside from Tirek threatening to chop G1 Spike's head off at one point. o_o;

All I can think of is Rainbow Dash meeting War Dash. I know this is about a crossover with other generations, but who wouldn't want to see Rainbow Dash's reaction to seeing another version of herself.
