rcollinz13 428 September 9, 2016 Share September 9, 2016 I'll be honest, this is a pretty garbage test. Firstly, I fail to see how your preference in movies, web browsers, or pets has anything to do with one's political leanings. Additionally, I agreed to the question that said that children should be taught to respect authority. However, your results would suggest that my answer means I think people should never question authority. This is simply no the case. Having a healthy respect for authority doesn't mean that you can't question it when it oversteps its bounds. Finally, as much I would like to live in a perfect world with no division, the idea of a border-less earth is nothing but a Utopian fantasy. It sounds great on paper, but it could never be properly executed withe the conflicts around the world today. It was an interesting little quiz, but it represents the larger problem of people being unwilling to hear anything of what the other guy has to say. Even if it may be the better option. I may just be reading a little too much into this online quiz. I can't help it. Cheers.
zerox 1,148 September 9, 2016 Author Share September 9, 2016 (edited) I can try and explain how the cat vs dog question works out: dogs obey rules, like to please their owner(s), show compassion to their owner or family,... cats on the other hand are self-centered, are free (as in you really don't own a cat as it doesn't recognize any human authority/rules),...etc Edited September 9, 2016 by zerox
Shanks 10,816 September 9, 2016 Share September 9, 2016 LMAO this test is one of the worst I have ever taken, most of the questions are vague and many of them tell very little about ones political beliefs. Also it abides by the traditional two dimensional political spectrum which is highly flawed, according to this test I am lefty but anyone that has seen what I have posted in political threads can tell that is definitely NOT the case. 3 Rarity Get's Cockroaches
Envy 6,206 September 9, 2016 Share September 9, 2016 I'm sorry, but this is stupid. How on earth is preferring dogs over cats a "conservative" quality? And the idea of combining a cuisine from two different cultures and me not wanting to try it also isn't a conservative quality (because I physically can't eat a lot of things, and it would be embarrassing and overall RUDE to go in and try it and end up gagging on it in the restaurant). And the choice of browser? Seriously? lol Also... Action vs. Documentaries. I don't like the message that sends, as in liking documentaries makes you conservative? Noooo no way at all. I care about knowledge and the truth, which is why I'm not conservative at all. =P 3 Everything needs more woodwind!
Guest September 9, 2016 Share September 9, 2016 Yeeeeeah this test is bogus. 12 questions is not enough to gauge someone's political alignment, especially when most of the questions are irrelevant. Not to mention I can't take Time Magazine seriously since they published that Anita Sarkeesian won person of the year when it was proven by their OWN polls that she lost by a landslide but they put her as person of the year anyways. They have no integrity. This test is bogus.

Wow, even I didn't think they sunk that low but then again with how low the mainstream media in general has sunk I shouldn't be all that surprised. I just read the article and couldn't stop laughing at the amount of bullshit in every single sentence. "Gamings Feminist Advocate", calling her a gaming advocate is like calling Colonel Sanders an advocate for chickens. http://time.com/3822727/anita-sarkeesian-2015-time-100/ 1 Rarity Get's Cockroaches
Guest September 9, 2016 Share September 9, 2016 According to many other sites I have used to gauge my political standing, I lean more towards independent than anything else. I have some issues I am somewhat conservative on and other I am more liberal on, but ultimately I am almost right in the middle. There are even some issues I agree with Donald Trump on. There is absolutely no scientific correlation between cleanliness and political standing, or cuisine for that matter, or using a new browser. These are just silly, I'm a center-right conservative and it placed me in liberal. The Political Compass is much more accurate.

Ziggy + Angel + Rain 11,303 September 9, 2016 Share September 9, 2016 Yeah but it's from Time Magazine, a non-satire publication, so it's humorous that they would do this. I see no particular reason to take Time Magazine seriously. Besides: I think the real point was just to see if you more or less agreed with the results. I agreed with mine; though I garnered immediately, from the cat vs. dog thing, that I probably shouldn't get too caught up in it. I think most people already know - prior to answering any of these questions - which way they swing. *Shrugs.* "It uses the faculty of what you call imagination. Guest September 9, 2016 Share September 9, 2016 I see no particular reason to take Time Magazine seriously. Agreed, but my point is that Time Magazine thinks they are a serious publication and the humor is that this proves more so that they aren't. Baykush 328 November 11, 2016 Share November 11, 2016 This test is more something fun than something to be taken seriously but I do agree with my results (kind of :awuh: ) Funny how the only ones that are actually political are the ones that make a conservative apparently, but I only slightly agreed with them, had there been a neutral option I probably would have chosen it.
