My First Time Transforming

Even if it hurts to say, I wasn't BORN so good at transforming. My first time was when I was very young. Let me tell you about it.

So, I was about...um...10 years old when I learned to transform. It was a very special day. I was walking around the Hive, when suddenly,I saw a pony in a cocoon. I gave him/her a quizzical look and then remembered what Mom said,"It's just food,and soon, you'll be hunting your own." It was asleep and well, because the cocoons had a special liquid in them that allowed them to breathe and had all the nutrients they needed to keep on living. My horn glowed as I tried to feed from it. It didn't work. Young Changelings fed from pods with solidified love in them, but it didn't stop me from trying. I quickly regretted what I tried to do as green flames surrounded me. However, they didn't hurt. They just had a pleasant warm feel, but then, I felt my carapace changing as the flames covered the rest of my body. I felt very...different. I walked over to one of the Hive's reflective parts of the wall and gasped. I had turned into the pony in the cocoon! If only I hadn't tried to do that...I panicked and ran around until I bumped into one of the guards. "A pony!" He said. He then prepared to alert everyone in the Hive with telepathy. His magic held me in the air as Chrysalis was the first to receive his message. Several other Changelings soon arrived after her, and I yelled,"Mom! I-it's me!" She said nothing, as her horn began to glow. Her horn touched to mine. (fortunately, the pony was a unicorn.) Suddenly, I was on the floor and myself again. "Memory search."She said, then walked away.
