How old are the Dazzlings?

I mean not sure how long ago was when Starswirled was active/alive but that's the same time he sent the Dazzlings to human world. That could make the Dazzlings pretty old.

At minimum, a few thousand years old. They seem to be pretty ancient enemies of Equestria. Makes it funnier that they are teenage girls in EQG.

Their comic from the Fiendship is Magic series shows that they might have been sent through time when Star Swirl banished them from Equestria. It doesn't go into any details but the assumption is there.

They're probably among the oldest creatures in all of Equestria, as they are well over a thousand years old. My theory is that they are either immortal or use their magic to remain physically young, which could explain their appearance as humans. The time travel theory is also pretty interesting!

That would explain why they're somehow teenagers, despite having been banished at least a thousand years ago. I mean, the rest of the characters I can just accept that that's around their age in Equestria, but with the sirens I always found their apparent age very odd.

In the last page of the same comic, the Dazzlings appear in the human world and look exactly like they do in Rainbow Rocks when we're first introduced to them. I'm going to guess that they had been living in the human world at least for several months, but it might have been even longer than that.

unless the portal is some kind of time warp and everypony sent through it just ends up at that modern teenage high school time period.

 

or maybe sirens just dont age and are immortal beings, there fore transferring that to the EQG world. Most immortal beings age very very slowly. so one theory being they were sent to the EQG world as young teenagers (13/14) but by the time RR comes around, theyve aged as much as senior year?

I think the reason they shifted Twilight Sparkle pony out of the picture and have human Twilight Sparkle continue the movie series is because the movies about growing up and life lessons for teenage girls whereas Twilight Sparkle pony is already fully grown probably in her 20s so that's why they put her back in Equestria though yeah some 20s somethings can still learn more life lessons just not teenage ones.

 

Also it's weird if any of the male teenagers that were really into them ever realized they could be much older than they look.

As many pointed out, I'd go with the space-time banishment Starswirl did. I believe they've ended in the human world a year before the events of Rainbow Rocks at most. About their human age... well, that doesn't necessarily mean they weren't older as sirens, as there's an inconsistency in ages anyway. But that's a discussion for the appropriate topic
