Could a cockatrice be Discord's Achilles' Heel?

Let's all remember the fact that Fluttershy was the only pony that could keep Discord from his shenanigans and didn't fall pray to his convincing in the maze and the fact that she could even stare down a cockatrice and even broke out of the petrification, I wonder if there's a correlation in this.

Could petrification actually be a mental thing? If you have a weak mind you can get petrified but if you got a strong mind then you can resist the effect? Is petrification really be psychological? Remember Discord may be omnipotent but he's not omniscient, he's not very bright neither does he have a very strong mind, remember how he could easily be foiled by Tirek's cunning and intelligence.

I think this is a theory worth investigating. What if the cockatrice turned Discord into stone would that nullify him as well? The reason why becoming stone would be Discord's weakness is well stone is a very stable material and would be the perfect foil to an ever dynamic and changing chaotic energy. Of course the Elements of Harmony turned him into stone, would it be a different kind of petrification or similar to the cockatrice's petrification?

Stone gaze, death gaze, evil eye, true sight: these are all eye-related, massively overpowered yet massively underrated magical abilities that should be more appreciated.

But yeah, we’re gonna need a bigger cockatrice.

I would imagine he is immune to it. Since he is able to alter his body in virtually any way he chooses, I imagine he could pretty easily shrug it off. The elements work in a much different way I imagine than the stare of a cockatrice.

~No profound statement needed~
