visual art Clothing study - ft. Star Butterfly

Been needing to practice on particular things for a while. Clothing study has been up on the list for a while, now I have the time so I figure now is an ok time. It ended up being a bit of a multi-purpose study, but the focus was clothing. Star was a bit of a bonus that kept me interested.

 

Thoughts? Favorites? So on?

Any suggestions for the next study?

@@LiraCrown, the third seems like it was quite a challenge, haha. The end result looks pretty awesome though. Think my favorite is the second though. Seems to come together pretty well.

 

Anyways, I think this is a lovely thing to practice with; notable props for that. ♥

Yeah, as a full thing the second is my favorite as well.

I quite like how the jacket came out on the colored version of the first one.

And I like the sketched version of the third one. Haha.

 

The third one was mostly a pain because there were so many parallel lines, that arn't drawn in parallel...

And by the time I got to the face my hand hated me XD

Really diggin' the second one, It feels like it could fit the cover for a Young adult novel. Has a nice "winnie the pooh" vibe to it...

It doesn't help that the third outfit is ... kinda ugh in real life. I personally don't like the random width striped capri pants and matching it with a striped drapery long coat... it makes me think the model is just wrapped in some 1970's curtains...

Though it doesn't really matter, because your drawing looks good with them: I don't think the middle model's jacket has fuzzy shoulders. I think that's actually backpack straps, because I can just barely see something peeking around her left shoulder that looks like the the corner of one of those serious camera cases.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't wanna walk around with someone wearing that third outfit. But I don't know fashion.. sooo... what do I really know.   (ironic confused horse) 

And holly shiz, I think your right about that backpack thing, I had myself convinced it was part of the jacket.
