Should Twilight start spending more time with her old Canterlot friends?

We have had nearly 7 years of her with the Ponyville crew. Could her Canterlot friends bring us new antics and adventures?

I really don't think this is the right course of action for the show. She may have reforged some bonds with her childhood "friends," but I'm fairly certain she's still not especially close to them overall. As for "new antics and adventures..." I mean, I guess so, but I doubt it would be so much better than where they are now, and I don't think changing or even so massively expanding the cast of main characters for the show is a particularly good idea. If these are to "replace" the mane six, then that doesn't work. The other five are no less important than Twilight. If it's more having her episodes involve them more, I don't see how that would happen, and it would make an already large group of main characters way too big to manage.

Yes they could, and I would not be against seeing them again, but I don't see it happening. Heck it is hard to say if we will ever see them in any significant role again. It will depend on if they want to tighten up around the mane 6 more or if they want to branch the cast out more and keep bringing back past characters and not just creating new ones. Making side characters more permanent staples in the show runs the risk of pushing the remane 5 out of the picture more and more, which really frustrates those who have a favorite character that is NOT Twilight. We already have Starlight and Discord and the like for example, and many fans feeling the show spends way too much time on characters like them as is... I am sure adding her old friends to the mix and more often would bring even more negativity.

I wouldn't want to see the show go in a new direction in terms of new main friends.

I would, however, like to see her spend some time with them. Like a just one episode of hanging out with them and maybe with her Ponyville friends as well. I think it would be very adorable

I don't see it as some sort of requirement for her or anything. She will meet up with them more in due time. She is quite busy in her own time and she has soooo many friendships, she cannot be expected to constantly focus on a particular few.

They are OBVIOUSLY not going to get rid of the Mane Six. The Mane Six have been what has kept the franchise together and they represent the Elements of Harmony. If they remove the Mane Six, almost everyone is just going to leave the show.

Well in Canterlot she read alot and didn't bond with her old friends as much as she did in ponyville.I think its better if she is what she is now. Although it was fun seeing her hanging out with her old friends again.

I don't like any of them, frankly. So no, let's stay with the Mane Six. An occasional episode with them and Twilight would be fine, but I probably wouldn't enjoy those particular episodes.

I would like to see Moondancer again, so maybe just another episode with the group would be nice.
