SONICchaos 824 January 28, 2017 Share January 28, 2017 (edited) So i've been apart of several MLP forums but it seemed over time the population and posts would drop down and found very few people to talk to after a year or two and so I felt I had to branch out to make new friends. That brings me here and I hope to get to know all of you! -First fandom I came from was Sonic(laugh or boo if you must) -Early flash sites and video games inspired me to take up 3D art and Animation as my college major -Currently live in Southern California. Havent found a place I like better yet -Hobbies include bicycling, hanging with friends, taking things apart, learning new things, photography Thats it for now but I hope to see you guys around. Bye! What makes you enjoy this forum more? I left EqF because there seemed to be a lot of negativity going on for a while. When I returned after a long break, it seemed as if the lights had been dimmed and a lot of the ponies had left. I came over here for a fresh start and found it to be very active and a lot of fun. The layout here is nice and I just felt more at home. I can't really put a finger on it, but it just seems to have a brighter, happier atmosphere here. Not a Sonic fan myself, but I don't see anything wrong with it. Is there any reason anypony would want to laugh at this? Anyway, Sonic and MLP are seen together quite often (I mean crossovers), so even if, it seems that you're not alone. Besides, pony fandom sounds even funnier if you look at it. Well go to Derpibooru, search Sonic and you'll notice virtually every picture is downvoted. Most fans of MLP I know have no positive experiences with Sonic and (rightfully)mock the franchise or just overall hate the character. I literally searched for Sonic and clicked the first images ~ the comments were really not nice... However, I'm not sure if that's a pure Sonic hate. It's an MLP site after all, so sonic, along with other non-pony things may not be well received by others, though I'm not oriented well there, so of course, I may be totally mistaking. Anyway, MLP fans get their hate as well. I really thought, that these two fanbases have good relations judging by Youtube videos and such. What a surprise. I think you're right there. Because youtube is a neutral site you probably wouldnt be clicking a video with both MLP and Sonic unless you liked and wanted to see both. Mhm, exactly. Though still there are people, who don't like MLP, yet they go to pony videos just to express random hate, for example. Ahh Internets. Hmmm.. Out of curiosity I've searched for MLP Sonic on Deviantart and guess what? The same thing. Some people love these, some people just say how terrible it is judging by the source material rather than the artwork itself (Plot twist: The artwork was actually pretty decent in my opinion). It seems, that there's something behind all of this. That's actually pretty sad to see something like this. If I'd be an author of that kind of artwork, I'd report these comments as their vocabulary is really offensive. What is funny though, is that there is a comment saying how bad it is due to Sonic crossover and below there's a comment with complaint, that there's an MLP version of everything. I guess both sides get their hate there. Either way, don't let them eat you. You can always report comments like this as bringing drama is prohibited on most sites, including this one. § 1.
