heavens-champion 1,905 January 28, 2017 Share January 28, 2017 We know that in the show, there are a lot of creatures from Greek Mythology, so, what if a few creatures from Norse mythology were added?
Oleks 1,993 January 28, 2017 Share January 28, 2017 It's an interesting idea. I'd like to see Helhest as a villain, although he may be a little too dark for MLP.Also, trolls are already a part of the universe, if we take comics into account. It would be nice to see one in the show.
cmarston1 5,959 January 28, 2017 Share January 28, 2017 I would be pretty curious to see how FIM would/could incorporate Sleipnir into the world of Equestria.
Prince Firemane 309 January 28, 2017 Share January 28, 2017 Well, Celestia and Luna themselves could've been inspired from Skinfaxi and Hrímfaxi of Nordic mythology. Skinfaxi drew Dagr's ((day's)) chariot and his mane lit up the world below while Hrímfaxi pulled Nótt's ((night's)) chariot and his mane dropped dew upon the world. Kiri 7,289 January 28, 2017 Share January 28, 2017 I don't recall the Kraken being introduced into FiM (unless it was mentioned the comics). I'd imagine it'd be pretty easy to stick one in a seafairing episode!

sweetolebob18 728 February 1, 2017 Share February 1, 2017 Part of it is that Greek & Roman mythology are more familiar, at least to children in the USA. The only Norse ones I can think of not already mentioned are The Fenris Wolf & The Midgard Serpent. Oh & the tree Yggdrasil (that connected various worlds). It would be mildly interesting if that turned out to be The Tree of Harmony

That being said, they've used a crapton of unknown mythological creatures in the show already, like Orthros and the cockatrice, so its possible they could use lesser known mythological creatures too (They've Used the name tatzlwurm and Bunyip too, but I use special emphasis on "name" for those since they're nothing like their counterparts )
ManaMinori 4,145 February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 Ii would kinda be iterested in seeing the 3 norns, Belldandy, Skuld, and Urd as some higher than alicorn existance. Maybe existing only within the "Aether" or dreamwalk realms that we saw in "DPDoMS" and "MMC", or some omnirealm the ToH created Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
