Card games on motorcycles! Card games oh hoverboards in virtual reality! Can you guys ever see entire generations of MLP dedicated to gimmicks of this type of coolness that seems straight out of the mind of Scootaloo/ Rainbow Dash?

Maybe in Equestria Girls but I wouldn't even go that far as the kind of technology used in Yu-Gi-Oh! can be seen as being far off into the future and beyond the magical scope MLP is known for. Besides, the cast of EQG are likely to play the MLP CCG though they would need a lot of money to get those expensive Ultra Rare cards.

Not really. Every generation of MLP has embraced the idea that the world they live in revolves around magic and friendship being the most important factors in their lives. However, I am not against having technology around. A futuristic setting would be too much but maybe modern technology would suffice. Though, an alternate time line would make your idea all the more plausible.

It's kind of hard to tell really, i mean when you look at ponyville it's mostly middle-ages style stuff, but then on the other hand you have Manehattan and you can kind of summaries from that, that they have modern day building technologies, so it may be possible, although I would imaging it would be highly unlikely plus I'd assume it would be more magic orientated.

I'm talking about a new generation. That would cancel out what any established towns and cities we see in g4, currently.

I could potentially see some kind of futurist technology in some new kind of generation, not likely, but more than both card games and hover boards being part of the series.
