Episode Idea: Mane 7 are turned into children.

Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Starlight Glimmer are turned into children.

While Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer are practicing magic, they have an accident that causes them to revert to children for 24 hours for an episode span or two parter to find a cure. They could be struck with amnesia for that day allowing them to act like they would as children. Otherwise, they could retain their adult minds and have an experience being children again while looking for a cure.

Then Spike and Cutie Mark Crusaders can be given important roles in that situation. CMC act like older sisters.

Who wouldn't want to have the cute Mane 7 together in the same episode.

This could be a cute episode.  Sounds like an episode that would contain a lot of Rugrats-style vibes. And the bit about Spike and the CMC would be a whole new look at the dynamic between them and the Mane 7.

You know, I had a similar idea to this, in which Rainbow wants to play a prank on Twilight, by using a spell to change Twi's voice.  However, she has to ask Starlight to cast it, as Rainbow is only a pegasus, so she can't use unicorn magic.  Starlight reluctantly agrees, but Spike scares her during the spell, and even though the spell temporarily works, it quickly does something entirely different, and Twilight quickly starts regressing in age, along with loosing her memory as her age keeps going backward.  She ends up a 9 year old foal, who has no idea that she's the Princess of Friendship.  Rainbow remembers she has to go somewhere, and leaves.  So Starlight calls Fluttershy asking for help to take care of Twilight, and not letting Fluttershy get a word in on the phone, doesn't find out Fluttershy's busy.  So she's waiting, while Spike keeps the young Twilight entertained, and then Spike suggests that they call Twilight's parents to come help.  Spike picks up the phone to call, but Starlight hangs it up on him, saying she doesn't want to find out how Twilight's parents will react to finding out their daughter has become a foal again.  So it's up to Starlight to take care of a 9 year old Twilight.

The majority of the episode would help Starlight learn to live up to her responsibilities even when she doesn't want to face them, and although I don't have a plan for a cure set in stone, I've considered the spell just wearing off, or certain things would cause Twilight to have a spurt of ageing.  In the end though, once Twilight has 'grown back up again', I feel like the talk about the experience Twilight and Starlight would have, could have some call-backs to Celestal Advice (with Twilight in a role reversal, but instead of Celestia, there would be Starlight.).
