A sudden mind-blowing realization that my childhood was a lie.

They lied! They were gnomes from the start!

Yeah... It know how terrible it feels when you waited for your prince charming, and no one ever came. And how disappointing it is when you kissed a sleeping woman in the middle of the forest, and turns out she was already dead by food poisoning :/

One does not simply takes real life logic to a child cartoon :P

Why would you want war-hungry dwarves in a kid's movie?

And also, "Snow White and the Seven Gnomes"? That sounds... Icky.

I HAD TO FALL TO LOSE IT ALL BUT IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER /WRISTS

Hmmm...maybe gnome is a subset of dwarf.....

Or maybe we shouldn't take disney so seriously.

I apologize for any inconvenience but for the time being my MLP stop motion project is on hold.

It's called creative license/ liberty. Who honestly cares how accurate it is? Most Disney stories are alterations of the original fairy tales to make them less gruesome and more friendly and accessible to audiences. Just enjoy the movie and the imagination of the people who created it.

We're on a site about a show filled with colourful talking ponies. And you care about realism?

Brushing your hair is for people who care and someone who cares is not I, I'll jump off a bridge and then fill up your fridge,
and best pony is Fluttershy.

Her face is still blushing and she is still eating the pasta.

Yes. We are on the internet, obviously everything will be overscrutinized until the end of time and existence itself.

Posted Image How could they?

Even though gnomes does not seem correct title wise, they do look more like them.

When you get down to it, Disney would never have made one cent if they didn't take some liberties with the stories they used. Heck, most would have even made it past the MPAA. Take The Little Mermaid, for example. The real ending was more like Hamlet than happily-ever-after.

Truth is, tons of these stories are so grim, with endings involving the death or painful mutilation of the main characters that no parent would ever consider letting their kids watch it. Well, almost no parent... B)

Disney has done far worse than this, trust me, I know my twisted fairy tales. I could tell you many a tale of the lies disney has spun in the name of changing the story for children's viewing.
