The creature tried to turn to fight Star head on, but it was far to large and bulky to match her speed. Plus, it still had techno latched onto its back. Just as Star turned to face it once again, the front left quarter of the creatures head exploded into chunks of skull and brain matter. A small chunk of which landed with a splash in Elias' bowl already filled with a thin layer of blood.

And yet, that didn't even stop it. Now missing half its head the creature burst into a wild spasmatic rage, bucking and kicking everything near it as well as biting and tearing at the seats without discrimination. Without much in addition to that, it was able to launch Techno off its back with its wild moves, sending him into one of the seats.

Still mad with rage, it charged the nearest thing. In his case, it was the door leading into the dining and kitchen car. Somehow, unlike legion, the creature's strength was enough to break open the door. Well, tear it of the hinges more like.

The grey earth pony on the ground missing one of his arms cringed, finally starting to come too. "H- hind- hind brain..." He tried to groan, groping his non existent arm as the others tried to help him.

Techno was still not done with the monster yet as he still quickly bounced himself off the seat and straight into the monster's head where he smashed into his head at high speed also then attaching himself to the monster again...

TU: OHH I'M NOT DONE YET!!!

Techno's cape then wrapped itself around the monster's head and it was now using more force than what was typically needed to completely crush a skull. Techno's power was now escalated from how the monster launched him off earlier...

"Alright now we're in business!" Elias said grabbing a piece of skull embedded in one of the seats near him. He tucked it into his pocket and resumed his chanting "Exaudi me in devorationem, omnium innominabilis est. Qui aurea porta quaero expellat impium creaturam profundis, inferni vbi manet in aeternum nunquam redeant. Sol et luna facta sit Tartari portis reclusis. Projiciam te in obumbratio et quoque ex descensum ad inferos, non potest daemonium non revertetur!" A fiery red circle opened up at the creature's feet, blackened chains shot out and began wrapping themselves around the unfortunate chef. Dragging his deformed body down into an eternity of torture and suffering. Once the last sight of the creature disappeared into the portal it snapped shut with a flash. Leaving Techno to stand where the creature once was.

Legion wasn't having any luck with the door. It was fairly solid, and whatever barred it wasn't natural. The doe poked her head up on the other side of the window on the door, smirking at Legion's 'foolish' attempts.

"Come now darling, I told you the doors were locked... when you finish with him, I'll be more than happy to let you out!" She giggled, before vanishing once again.

Legion bucked at the door again and again, trying with all his strength to get it to open. When the doe mocked him for trying, he landed a swift buck to her face before she vanished. Panting from exertion, he turned to look at the injured pony.

"Good work Helios." Legion said, watching the chaos unfold.

After a few seconds of reluctance, she ultimately decided to disregard Legion's orders, choosing instead to step forward and face the enemy.

"HEY UGLY-FACE!!" She called out, flourishing her weapon around the air as to call his attention. "COME AND GET SOME!! Grade A pony meat right here!"

"Son of a-" Legion muttered, displeasure showing on his face at Lory's recklessness.

"Time to make sure she doesn't kill herself."

Legion charged after her rushing past the screaming civilians and into the dining car. Wings would be useless in the confined space, so he improvised. Vaulting over a serving cart, Legion rolled to absorb the fall and keep his momentum as he dashed after the creature.

The beast tripped forward as it entered into the dining car, going head first and tossing Techno once again with his cape as the chains wrapped around its legs then its torso. In a matter of only a few seconds it was yanked into the portal beneath it.

The rest of the passengers at this point were all cowering behind the seats, but the beast was gone. Unfortunately, the only door unlocked was the one heading to the dining car. It was full of empty booths and dishes strewn about the floors. There were no signs anyone had been injured or hurt, but something had certainly happened in there. That or the conductor took a sharp turn a little too fast and sent everything flying while they were busy fighting the beast.

For a moment, the only sounds were that of the train clanking on the tracks, churning along through the plains as it approached Ponyville. As fast as they were going, it was evident the conductor had no intentions of stopping at the town as scheduled.

"Gah!" The injured pony cringed again, grabbing his arm.

It was in a sorry state, but at least due to the combined efforts of the Helios and Star, it wasn't bleeding profusely anymore.

"Th- thanks..." He groaned to Helios.

(( OOC: Don't have my banners atm, lel. ))

The mare simply watched as the rest of the group jumped into action to put an end to the monster's wrath, and the scuffle was over before her input was required. More than anything, she was peeved for not getting to beat up a demon that time around. Letting out a short sigh in disappointment, she soon brought her weapon back into her saddle and then turned to look at the destruction caused during the fight.

Lory was somewhat impressed to see that the train was still moving to begin with. She was becoming somewhat impatient: eager to arrive at their destination as soon as possible. Otherwise, she would really want to break something.

She trotted over to Elias.

"Mind telling me what's the deal between you and Bambi?" Lory didn't ask: she demanded. "Such a weird coincidence for us to find 'er in this train, huh? What a small, small world this is..." She made sure to add a pinch of sarcasm at the end.

Helios smiled calmly, still holding the patient in his hooves. "There is no need to thank me." He told him, slowly helping the pony back up on his - three - hooves by giving leverage with his wing. "Perhaps the ponies who would be deserving of your gratitude are the ones who bravely fought away the beast." He tilted his head towards the group: a proud, satisfied smirk still gracing his feature.

It was a weight off his back to know that the group's combined efforts weren't in vain. With the possible exception of a few individuals, it did strike him like he'd chosen the right team to join. After confirming that the armless pony was out of danger, he made his way towards the others to check in how they were doing.

"What an exciting promise of a journey..." He joked out loud; a hint of actual excitement in his words.

"In the process of trying to find information on her I may or may not have threatened her lover. I was just as surprised to find her here as any of you. Demons don't usually turn up unless summoned or otherwise conjured." Elias explained.

Ozzie perked up from hiding behind one of the seats in the far corner furthest from the chaos, along with a few other passengers. He fit in rather well between them, not at all conspicuous. The doe was still nowhere to be seen.

"Hmm... that's right..." He added to Elias' comment. "Demons have just as much a hard time learning of the goings on of the mortal world as much as any mortal. Especially considering they have to rely on second hoof information... Add to that demons can't just teleport from place to place when in physical form... well, they either must be summoned or used other typical means of travel. That is, if you count wisp and portal travel in that category."

He pondered that for a moment while the passengers nervously eavesdropped, with no other real option since the group kind of dominated the car in their presence after the fight.

"So that leaves us with a few realities. The first is the simplest, she or her cohorts have been following us and learned we'd all be here this morning to board the train, sneaking aboard and purchasing a ticket without the authorities learning. Or, the second possibility, someone aboard this train, perhaps even in this very same train car, alerted her to our activities and summoned her with her actual name." He explained.

StarSnow brought her blade close to her face, inspecting it. She cleaned the blood off it with her magic, and as she did, her white eyes returned to normal. She was only half listening to the others as they talked. She created an ice sheath on her back, and put away her blade instead of dissolving it. She walked over to the injured pony, and carefully inspected the wound. She cast a couple more spells on it to help with the pain.

StarSnow got up and walked over to Techno. "You need to calm down. You really think that she's going to give herself up knowing that we are mad at her?" She looked around the car at the group.

Still not sure why I got involved. But...

Ozzie clapped his hooves together to get everyone's attention. "Ahem! We're not out of the woods yet, focus Elias!"

He gestured to the view outside the window. Something was definitely off... there was a strong thick mist surrounding the train as it carried along, you couldn't see more than a few heads through it. How the conductor felt comfortable plowing through it at such speed was a mystery. Occasionally shadows would whip past the windows, their forms shapeless in the thick fog.

"This is worse than the usual stuff down here in the countryside... she must still be somewhere on the train. We sho-" He was cut off by a set of screams and yells further through the train cars, just past the dining car with dishes strewn about it.

So far, the dining car was the only one unlocked, broken into by the beast. Yet perhaps a few more good kicks would get the door towards one of the cargo cars open or knocked down. If that didn't work, there were still windows to climb out of, or the emergency hatch leading to the roof. Then again, going outside was a dangerous proposition.

StarSnow immediately ran towards the other cars when she heard the first scream. She ran through the dining car and when she reached the door, glanced behind her.  "Hey! I could use some help down here!"

As soon as Star turned around to get the others to follower her, something burst out from beneath one of the tables, tackling her into the opposite booth adjacent to the door at the end of the car.

It was a shade. A creature with the bones of a pony connected together by a thick black shadowy aura that obscured some of the bones themselves. It was an oily aura, a sickly thing that stuck to anything it touched for a few moments. The monster wrapped itself around Starsnow as it pinned her to the seat cushion, trying to bight at her neck, its piercing giant red eyes burning through anyone's very being.

Climbing out from beneath the other tables, perhaps a dozen more popped up into the center walkway. Star snow was at the far end of the dining car. There was no way to get to her without going through the other twelve shades. Slowly, all but the one that had pounced on Starsnow turned to face those standing in the passenger car.

StarSnow drew her sword, and as she fell thrust it's blade between her chin and her neck, and when the shade fell, it landed on the edge of the blade.

Knew it. Never let your guard down nowadays...

She pushed the blade up, struggling to push the monster off her. After a moment, she managed to wriggle out from beneath it, and immediately flipped, putting a bit of distance between her and the monster, drawing her sword close to her.

"augue manu mea!" Elias shouted, stretching out his hand to hurl a fireball at the shade closest to him. It went down screeching as the fire consumed the otherworldly entity.

StarSnow's eyes flicked to where the others were after seeing a small flash out of the corner of her eye. She saw one of the shades burning. She then looked back at the monsters in front of her. She then looked back behind her at the door.

Of course.

She created a barrier between her and the shades, and using her blade opened the door.

TU: I CAN FEEL YOUR BEHIND THAT DOOR DEER!!! I THINK IT'S ABOUT TIME YOU EXPERIENCE WHAT IT'S LIKE NOT TO EXIST!!!

When techno noticed the shadow monster on Star he quickly launched himself at it to latch himself onto the monster. He was now trying to overload it with magic in order to possibly kill it...

Techno's advance to help Star was stopped almost instantly, cut off by the dozen or so shades crowding the dining car. One of them jumped forward to intercept the unicorn. Just as it did, a fireball flew past the two and smashed into another that charged forward to rush into the passenger car. Once it went down two more leaped forward to charge in its place.

Star's aggressor was removed from play rather quickly, allowing her to form a barrier in her small portion of the dining car as she moved into the next section. The door into the next second class cabin wasn't locked, but once she opened it she might quickly regret it. There were no passengers, at least not any more. Instead, the walls, seats, and windows were painted with the remains of various victims. That being said, there were no fully intact cadavers.

Pools of the blood began to ripple beyond just the shaking of the train. Gradually it began to coalesce into a single large pool in the center of the car. Starsnow was all alone, divided by the monsters in the dining car. There was no telling how long her barrier would last, especially if she needed to divert her attention away from maintaining it.

"Great, she has to know sanguimancy." Elias said to himself as he lobbed another fireball at the shades surrounding the group. No matter how many shades he destroyed, others kept popping up to replace them. "Fine, guess it's the hard way." Elias said, kneeling down to place both his paws on the car floor. "fulgura et pluviam super inimicos meos et conteram!" He shouted, a purple circle appeared beneath him along with smaller ones floating around his kneeling form. IMG_5957.JPG.4796dcb2112f177e2b86c58b40f042c0.JPG

Suddenly purple lightning shot out of them and struck all of the shades in the dining car. Their dying screeches were deafening. Once all of the creatures dissolved Elias groaned then collapsed, his coat and body lightly smoking.

StarSnow had stabbed a couple of the shades, when the rest were struck down. She looked past them, and saw Elias collapse. Her eyes widened and she quickly made her way back to the group. She carefully checked the rest of the group for injuries, before turning to Elias.
