Yes @IronM17 I do! My favorite constellation is Cassiopeia, because not only does it have a funny(in my opinion) story but I also spotted it on my own, without an app, while I was drunk, (pretty big feat), on vacation  

I don't have a favorite astronomical object, but I do have a favorite human made object and a favorite astronomical body. 

My fave human made space object is the Hubble Space Telescope. Nothing has been working, had its obstacles and failures, and still has sent us images of the farthest we'll probably ever go, quite like the Hubble. 

My favorite planet is, (wait for it), Uranus (insert laughter) because in regular lighting its gorgeous and then in near infrared wavelengths it get even better!

I also study astronomy (or more physics with astronomy as minor subject). Is it in the USA also so that you study mainly physics and starts later with astronomy or is Astronomy an own subject?

I do love Luna, for her moodiness and just the hilarity of her coming back to life and not knowing how to address everyone  She is rather gorgeous in her own right,

But I have to say my favorite it actually Cadance: from her coloring (I mean look at those gradient wings!) to her mane and tale (hair goals am I right?), she is also so kind and never condescending. She's relatable. She's like the Kate Middleton of the pony Princesses; a real, relatable princess.

Mostly at colleges, or University (I haven't had a chance to look where you're from), Astronomy can be offered and at some schools is, its own major, BS, MS or PhD. There are some school who only offer it as a minor to the larger Physics degrees. 

The school I will go to for my Bachelors does offer Astronomy, but I will go for Planetary Science Bachelors, then an Astronomy Masters and Ph.D. 

I really love the planets and studying them so that we could possibly visit or even live on some that we're able to.

Unfortunately unless I have some sort of growth spurt and my metabolism miraculously speeds up, I won't be going anytime in the future lol Perhaps Elon Musk will fix that lol

Great story about KSC! I currently live about an hour and a half away and growing up I lived only 3 hours from it AND I ONLY JUST WENT TO IT FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST YEAR! 

I didn't grow up having a love of space or astronomy. My fiancé actually surprised me with tickets to KSC for one of our anniversaries. I was PISSED! It was our 7 year anniversary and I was unintentionally lead to believe that he was going to propose. So when he pulled out the tickets to KSC, I had to hide my disappointment and anger because I didn't even like SPACE. I had literally ZERO interest. So I played along and went that day.

this is my pissed face (girls hide it SOOOOO well) 

I ended up feeling bad because I was in a bad mood the entire day, so I offered us to go back another day, and I'd give it a real shot. It was the second trip to KSC where I fell in love with space, space travel, space science, space shuttles and from then on, whatever I could get my hands on I read and whatever show I could watch, I did. 

And shortly after that I was the proud owner of a telescope

Then my fiancé recommended that I become an Astronomer (I was having my quarter life crisis during this time and trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life) and I thought it was a marvelous idea! 

My favorite astronomer would be Carl Sagan, cliché I know but no one has stood out since. 

My favorite Planetary Scientist is Carolyn Porco, who actually worked with Sagan on the Voyager missions.

My favorite Astrophysicist is Neil deGrasse Tyson, again cliché I know. 

My favorite Astronaut is Mike Massimino, I actually met him at KSC for his book signing! 

   

 

I've never had an interest in any other natural sciences like I do the space sciences. I mean I think volcanos and the weather are really cool but that's about it.

Honestly, I would say it is more a cliché when you said Hubble instead of Sagan.

Yea! In those pics I'm actually asking him about his time on the show. He said he doesn't get asked that very often, I was shocked, and said that he really enjoyed it and everyone was so great and he's welcome back anytime! So we may see him again! 

I believe that we're not alone. Do I believe they look the way in which we have depicted them? No. I don't know what they will look like, speak like or be like but I really can't wait for the day that our universal society is like that in Futurama!

I get them from a german brony forum. There is a special skript on this forum to use them. I really like them that's why I usually use them instead of the emoticons from this forum. I don't know if you can find them somewhere in the internet.

Ok I'm going to go out of order here because I just laughed out loud, seriously I just scared my dog, at your last question.

OMG I CAN'T BEGIN TO EXPLAIN THIS! This is so annoying! hahahah

Funny story, I was working as a concierge at a Disney resort and one of my co-workers thought he was like, God's gift to women, and thought he'd be real smooth to me.  So he asks what I do outside of work. I stated that I am in school for Astronomy. 

His reply (I kid you not): Oh I love the signs, I'm a (insert sign here) . What are you? Are we compatible? 

DEAR GOD! I kindly corrected him stating that I study Astronomy, NOT Astrology and that along with my sign NOT syncing with his, the fact that I was engaged ALSO was not in sync with his attempts. 

AHHAHAHAHA! I couldn't believe how confident he was too! Needless to say he tried to cooly play it off but there was no coming back from that hahahaha

whew! ok so onto the next questions:

My favorite pony is Rarity. 

My favorite music is anything that's not screaming in my ear, horrible whining or droning, and I love clever, thought out lyrics, even in rap. If it's a clever, intelligent rap line or lyric, more props from me.

Yes, I've actually lived here the majority of my life (honestly nothing to brag about)  and when Irma hit, we were actually supposed to be on vacation on the coast of FL where it hit the worst. Obviously we didn't go but were we live, we did get the brunt of it. We had a window busted out by a flying object and the power went out for two days. It was awful, but we know friends and others who were far more hurt than us so we were grateful.

Sounds awful. Remembers me when a tornado hit my village. But my hosue had luck, nothing was destroyed except for a few trees in the garden.

Hey there! Rainbow Glitterswirl's talent is fashion and nostalgia. Her cutie mark symbolizes her love of the 90's and everything glittery, holographic and brightly colored. Its small but it is a glittery swirl.

Think Lisa Frank, in a pony. She loves fashion, like her good friend Rarity, and lets her love of glitter, colors and nostalgia permeate her designs. If she had an element of harmony, she would represent creativity. She can take something minute and magnify its best qualities.

Glitterswirl loves coloring, painting ceramics, reading books in bookstores and in coffee shops, and loves antiquing! She adores finding 90's toys and memorabilia, but she also loves really vintage things from years gone by. She's truly an old soul!

I saw the recent eclipse and I have seen a "shooting star" but not a comet where I could see the tails and such. I can't wait! That and a meteor shower, I can't wait to see one!
