i would say rainbow dash because sonic means speed of sound but the sonic rainboom breaks the light spectrum which is faster then the speed of light.

Sonic's top speed is still unknown but he can reach 750mph in just a matter of seconds. When he enters ''Super Sonic'' his speed increases with 1000%. In other words, he can reach 750000mph in just a few secounds, and that is his average speed while in Super Sonic form.

When Rainbow Dash reaches Sonic Rainbow she reaches Mach 10, that is about 76000mph.

Sonic is faster, sorry but thats how it is.

I say Rainbow Dash, just because ^ That speed is physically impossible for an organic being to move and not have all the flesh flayed from its body from the sheer physical thrust. I mean, look at a person's face when you stick 'em in a centrifuge. Make it go fast enough and their skin kinda melts backwards. I would bet the same thing applies to hedgehogs if you were to ROCKET them at 750KMPH Except their skin comes off. I call foul on Sonic, His numbers are fixed. :P Dashi wins!

If the physics are to be understood correctly of that ridiculous Rainboom Physics video, Rainbow Dash's top speed is somewhere in the order of 1.05 miles per second or so.

I don't care what your legs look like, it is physically stupid and functionally improbable to approach that sort of speed.

It would be close match. They can both go past the speed of sound and are extremely competitive. Thing is, though, Sonic is quite chivalrous, therefore he may let RD win. Possibly. Not saying that that would actually happen. It would be VERY close though.

Give RD seven chaos emeralds and see what the hell she can do with that.

RD isn't a hedgehog though. And as we all know, according to friggin SEGA, only hedgehogs can use Chaos Emeralds.

It's ironic how I fall just to get back up again...

Wait, why are some people counting Chaos Emeralds? That would be like if you had two marathoners race, and gave one a pimped out race car. I'm sorry, but counting them is just ridiculous.

Sonic, I don't think the sonic rainboom is as fast as some people think... and that episode (hurricane shy or something I think?) Rainbow Dash wasn't even really going that much faster than the normal Pegasus

Those were Super Emeralds that gave them powers. Completely different stones.

Depends, Sonic needs his emeralds to run SUPER fast and RD simply needs a few seconds.

I tend to take the high road, get stoned, and fly low . . .

Rainbow Dash, because I've never heard of a sonic hedgehogboom... ;)

You hear 'em after he eats a few chili-dogs...I don't know if that helps him go faster though.
