Sad Luna

I wanted to try and paint, but since I have no idea how to, I decided to trace a scene from the series.

 

Here's Luna, I hope you like her. All critique is gladly accepted.

This is really good. Even if it is a trace it doesn't matter because it still takes time and a steady hand for it to come out good which is has. I can see you've filled it in by painting though and done a good job at it too. The colours you chose are very accurate. Great work.

Everyone has to learn how to paint somehow. By using a trace first, you can get the skills down and then work on branching out beyond a trace. I say you did damned fine job and definitely have some talent here. In particular Luna looks very sad in this painting, sadder than I can ever recall her looking before.

By Celestia's royal flank, people sure likes this piece. It's my first "real" painting, I've drawn several other pony pieces, can be found on my dA account. The reason I chose to trace is because I had no ides what to draw, while tracing helps me keep in shape without much creative effort, I also just liked Luna ins that scene.
