Quite frankly after doing some thinking, probably neither of those are gonna happen. BUT, see the but there? The nice big round but? K too far! XD What if Spike actually crushes on somepony/somedragon/someone else and is actually successful in winning them over and then Rarity thinks she's been replaced, so she'd go to extreme lengths to get her 'special little helper' back, but succeeds then feels bad because it caused Spike to feel broken? Then after Rarity gets Spike and his potential girlfriend back together, then Spike and Rarity can both agree with, "Maybe when he's a little older he and Rarity MIGHT become a thing!" cause even though Spike has someone, he would still have feelings for Rarity and be there for her to help out; then that gives hope to the Sparity fans, but at least Spike is open and won't be in just a dead-end crush. The crush is still there, but he's got someone else in the meantime! What do you think about this idea? It's kinda hard for me to see either Rarity or Spike actually being an actual couple, mostly because of the age difference. It has been going on from season 1 and hasn't been succesfull over seven seasons. 1 If I don't understand something or Interpret it wrong, I'm dutch. Sometimes I gamble for meanings of the words. And sometimes I write the wrong words, like week and weak for example. Sorry for it already. It isn't, Yeah Spike still makes one-off comments about Rarity but guess what, infatuations don't really go away, the arc of Spikes legitimate crush ended in "Secret of my Excess" and now Spike just helps Rarity a lot because it makes him happy. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean, it has been going on for 7 seasons, as Hierok said, and I don't see anything coming out of it except comedic relief, and it really isn't even that funny amymore because it is so old. I think it worked for a few seasons but after that it just got old. How about Spike just shows interest in other dragons now? That would make much more sense. Those who think Rarity's just using him and his crush on her to get what she wants, well, they are the foolish ones.
