So Its finally in production. Fans have long awaited this moment. The Rurouni Kenshin live action is finally happening. but as a longtime fan, it seems that there is a lot of hype behind this film.... I knew that there would be a fair amount but still I dont wanna raise my expectations too high. What is your opinion?

Okay, gotta admit that's pretty cool. When I first saw "Live action production" I had no real interest in it (The reason I watch anime is because I don't particularly care for live action shows most of the time but still want stuff that's more realistic than cartoons like Looney Tunes lol) but I think I may wanna keep an eye on it though I have no idea how I'd be able to watch it unless it came to the US on DVD or something.

 

Btw, I am a Kenshin fan. Loooooooove the anime but only read the final story arc of the manga. (Didn't miss much obviously since the anime, as far as I know, follows the manga pretty closely up to that point where they cut out the entire final story arc and replace it with something else entirely.)

What did you think of the OVA's? and I have to admit the end to the anime series was really lame compared to the manga. Idk what to think. I think Kenshin's backstory would have been a better LA film, but i cant afford to make that movie.

You mean the Samurai X ones? Those are the few things I haven't seen of Kenshin. Dx

God why does japan gotta make good anime movies that is based in real life while over here in the usa it always turns out to be crap like the dragon ball evolution movie.

I haven't found the Kenshin 90 min feature online yet and unfortunately I dont have a copy of it in english

 

 

Apparently there are talks of an american LA bleach movie as well, I'm just glad that the kenshin film is actually japanese. I grew up hearing "ORO" all the time
