“Oh really?” Dynamo would ask with a raised eyebrow. A hopeful smile was becoming present upon his face. “If that’s the case, then maybe we should look into this. We can always see if Night, Button and my mom can help us out. At least we’d have some support behind the idea.” He would say, looking over to Dusk, who was gently petting the flying fox. “Great job, son. Remember to always show kindness and respect. If you decided to, then I could see you being a pet handler at the zoo, as well.” He would say, feeling proud of his son.

He looked over towards the animal handler, who walked over towards him and Broken. The blue unicorn smiled as Broken hugged him. He wrapped an arm around Broken’s shoulder and held her close. “I’m truly proud of my son and I could not be more prouder. I know I’m not his biological father, but I want to say that I feel as if he’s my actual son. I want to do my best to be there for him and raise him to be a kind, happy, and loving adult.”

Dusk would nod as he continued to pet the sleepy flying fox "I know daddy" he would say, beaming with pride at the compliment that the animal handler gave them.

Broken smiles "You're a really great father figure honey, and I can see how much Dusky looks up to you" she'd say, smiling as their son would give the bat one more gentle hug and a pat before letting it go back to the animal handler.

"Can we go see the foxes now, please mommy and daddy?" Dusk asks

Dynamo nodded at Dusk's reply, while watching proudly as his son was petting the flying fox with care. "Thank you and I try my best to be a good father figure for Dusky. I know you're a great mother towards our son. You've helped raise him to be a loving, kind and caring colt. I know he looks up to you, as well." He would say, smiling as Dusk gave the bat another hug, before giving the bat back to the animal handler.

At the mention of the foxes, Dynamo nodded happily. "Of course we can, Dusky. I know you loved seeing the flying foxes, but I think you'll also love getting to see the foxes too." He would say, picking up Dusk, before looking to his son and girlfriend. "Are you both ready to go? Time for us to see some foxes and many more animals."

Broken would smile and nod "Indeed, let us go see some adorable fluff balls" she would say "Oh and don't forget to take more photos Dynamo, I'm sure your mother loves foxes just as much as you do" she'd say with a smile as they walked to the fox exhibit and Dusk waved goodbye to his little flying fox friend. Broken smiles and looks to Dynamo "Looks like we'll have to come here more often so that Dusk can see his new friends"

At the mention of photos, Dynamo smiled with a nod. "Thanks for the reminder sweetheart. I made sure to get plenty of photos of Dusky and the flying fox for Night, Button and my mom. I wouldn't say that on my mom loving foxes. She thinks they are nice, but she's more of a dog kind of pony." He chuckled as he remembered the stories Gentle had of her pet dog. As he watched Dusk wave goodby to the flying fox exhibit, Dynamo smiles ad he looked back to Broken. "It appears so, but then again. Maybe we won't have to come back and visit so often. Considering if we discuss with my mom, Night and Button. If it all works out, then maybe Dusky will have a new friend. Now that would be an amazing birthday gift." He whispered softly to Broken as the group made their way towards the fox exhibit.

Broken would smile and nod, "Must get it from somewhere" she'd remark, and then smile, nodding some more "that is true" she'd look to Dynamo and kiss him on the cheek "Oh look at all these lovely little foxes" she would coo, helping Dusk to call over a fox or two to pet and cuddle.

"What do you mean, sweetheart? Are you talking about how my mom loves dogs as her favorite pet?" He would ask with a smile, before tilting his head slightly. "If so, then I know what you mean as I can relate. Dogs are a really nice pet. There were two different times that my mom and dad had a dog. They were so cute and precious, in my opinion." He would say, nodding as he felt the kiss upon his cheek. "You can say that again, my love. These foxes look so friendly." As a pet handler brought over two foxes for Dusky and his parents, Dynamo took the fox to hold in his arms. The fox soon nuzzled in the blue unicorn's arm as if it had take a liking to Dynamo. "Aww. Well, aren't you precious?" He smiled softly as he held the young kit in his arms. The young fox tried to move as Dynamo wondered what the young fox wanted. The gaming stallion decided to place the fox on top of his mane as the young fox soon settled and curled up into a ball.

Broken smiles "Well yes, if you didn't get your love for foxes from your mom, must've been from your dad" she'd smile, holding his hand and then watching as Dusk would immediately curl up with the fox kit and then her smile would widen even more as the one that Dynamo was holding had nestled into his mane "seems I'm not the only one who thinks your mane is perfectly soft"

"You might be surprised to hear this, but my dad was never that keen on pets. I remember one time my mom had so many cats that they just escaped and scattered around in the streets. The neighbors had to catch every single cat. Which I think was about six to ten, but that was around the time I was born. My dad did like the second dog he got as it was his little buddy." Dynamo chuckled as he remembered the memories, before smiling with a sigh. "I think I got my love of foxes from the Pokemon, Ninetales. Especially the Alolan version from the Sun and Moon games. I just love the lore of foxes and they just look so adorable." He would say, holding her hand as they watched Dusk curl up with a fox kit. "It looks like I'm not the only one who found a new friend. I know Dusky would pick a flying fox as a pet/friend, but this fox kit makes a close second." He chuckled, rolling his eyes playfully as he made sure not to let the fox kit fall from his mane. "I guess you're right. I didn't think this little one would just sit atop of my mane. I almost feel sorry that I'd have to return this fox to the pet handler."

She would nod, listening to what he said "Really? How in Equestria could you keep up with so many cats? As adorable as they can be, that'd be far too many for me to handle" she would say and then smiles "I know dear, but we can always come back, especially with your mom and my mom and button" she'd say "and of course the major gift we are planning for you know who" she says with a smile and kisses his cheek, gently petting the fox kit.

Dynamo would chuckle, while shrugging his shoulders. "You've got me on that one, hon. My mom was able to raise and train the cats. That, and she had a dog to go with the group of cats. I guess we'll have to ask as I still don't know the answer." He would say with a nod and smile. "That's true. After all, it's better to go on family vacations once in a while." He inconspicuously winked at the mention of the major gift. "You've got that right. One surprise at a time. We wouldn't want to cause a freakout overload. I'd worry that you know who if that were to happen. However, that would generally be the reason of hyperactivity. Even we had a moment of being too hyper when we were younger. I guess that would be the reason of boundless energy or youth, or something like that." He would say as Broken was gentle petting the fox kit.

Broken would smile and nod "I remember when I was little, I was so energetic, people kept asking if I was Sonic's sister" she chuckles and rolls her eyes "anyway, I think after the petting zoo, we ought to head to the arcade to meet back up with your mom, what do you say, dear?"

At the mention of Sonic's sister, Dynamo couldn't help himself in chuckling. Making sure to be careful that the fox kit wouldn't fall out of his mane. "I'm guessing you got asked that question a lot, huh? Sonic seems to be a happy, go lucky kind of guy. I wonder if that energetic nature goes into his ability to run quickly? Speaking of which, didn't Sonic have siblings at one point? I remember he had two creatures alongside him when trying to help save the world from Dr. Robotnik. Something about the underground, or something like that." He would say, before nodding. "That sounds good to me, sweetheart. We just need to see if Dusky wants to see any other animals. It's his special day/week, after all. Also, are there any animals in the petting zoo that you'd like to see? We can't forget you as you matter just like our little Dusky." He smiled, pulling her into a hug and kissing her cheek.

Broken smiles and shakes her head "I'm fine sweetie, I'm happy just to see Dusky happy" she would say as she'd look to him and ask if he wanted to see any more of the animals. Dusk looks up and shakes his head "Can we go see nana at the arcade, mommy and daddy?" he'd ask, looking up to see the little fox curled up in Dynamo's mane and giggles "Daddy, foxies aren't hats"

Dynamo rolled his eyes playfully, before shaking his head and nods. "Okay, but I still want you to be happy, as well sweetheart. Just like our little Dusky." He would say, looking over to Dusky, who wanted to go to the arcade. "Of course we can, Dusky. I can tell you want to see all the games the arcade has to offer. Plus, I can imagine that you're missing your new nana." He chuckled as he looks up to see the fox still curled up on top of his mane. "Tell that to the little guy up there." He gently picked up the fox in his hands, before giving the fox kit back towards the pet handler.

Broken smiles and hugs him "Darling, you've already made me so happy. You've not only given me the love I thought I'd never have again, but you've given Dusk a wonderful father figure that he can look up to, and that, that is the most wonderful thing I could have ever asked for" she'd kiss him. She looks to the little fox and smiles, giving it a pet as Dynamo handed it  back to the handler "Don't worry little guy, we'll be sure to visit you and you can curl up on Dynamo's head again" she says with a chuckle, thanking the handlers for allowing Dynamo and Dusk a chance to see their favorite animals, before leading them to the gift shop.

Dynamo smiled softly as he listened to Broken's words. He closed his eyes as he felt tears were welling up in his eyes. Along with feeling a strong warmth in his heart. He slowly opened his eyes and returned the hug. "I know, but I want to always make you happy, my dear. Your opinion and Dusky's opinion always matters, as well. I know this vacation trip is for Dusky, but it's also our vacation too. A fun and relaxing family vacation. Being able to see Dusky's new nana and possibly setting up future family vacations. However, I can't deny on what we all have received. I found someone who loves me with all of her heart, as well as letting me return that love. Along with a loving son who I want to see become a kind and caring adult." After returning the little fox, Dynamo returned the kiss as Broken gave the little kit a pat on the head. He rolled his eyes and chuckled at the mention of the fox curling on his head. "We'll see what happens, but we'll definitely be back soon. We have a couple of friends here, who would be delighted to see us again, after all." He thanked the pet handlers with Broken, gave his final farewells to the flying foxes and regular foxes, before he and Dusky followed Broken towards the gift shop.

Broken chuckles a little and they soon arrive at the gift shop "Alright Dusky, you can pick out three things from the gift store" she says, smiling at both him and Dynamo. Dusk was giddily looking at all of the plushies "Daddy, I wanna get something for nana, can you please help me choose? Which of these cute animals do you think she'd like the best?" he would ask, showing him an array of plushie animals to choose from.

Dynamo smiled brightly as he listened to Broken chuckle. To him, it was like music to his very ears. A simple warmth in his heart that would soothe his very soul. At the mention of picking something out, Dynamo looked down to Dusk, who asked for his assistance. With a simple nod and grin, Dynamo took his son's hand into his own. All the while, leading him over towards the animal plushies. "Of course, Dusky. I think it's sweet that you want to get nana a gift. Did you mean Night nana, or your new nana? If it's for Night nana, then I would say to pick out her favorite animal. Maybe something like a flying fox as it would remind her of her favorite grandson. If you mean Gentle nana, then I would say a plushie of a dog if they have one. Perhaps a cat if that is the next best option." He would say, looking at the line/array of plushies that were arranged for potential tourist goers.

Dusk would look around and then he had an idea "Why don't I get something for both?" he would ask, as he would then go to flying fox plushies, choosing a sizeable one before going over to what looked like wolves "Ooh look daddy, it's a wolf, maybe nana Gentle would like this?" he'd suggest, picking up the wolf plush, which was also pretty sizeable. he then went over to the fox plushies, and smiles, holding up one that looked like the little one that curled up on Dynamo's head "I wanna get this for you, daddy". Needless to say that Broken was swelling with pride of just how selfless Dusk was being.

Once Dusk looked around at all of the stuffed animals, Dynamo raised an eyebrow as Dusk turned back towards him. "That's a great idea, son! It'll be nice to get something for Nana back home as a souvenir." He would say, watching as the young bat colt picked out a flying fox for Night. Along with a wolf for Gentle. "I think a wolf will be perfect, my son. Wolves are generally like dogs. This will keep her safe if anything should happen." He blinked in confusion as Dusk went towards a fox plush, before noticing his son bringing the plush to him. Dynamo couldn't help in looking at his son with pride and joy, before taking the plush into his hands. "Thank you, son. You didn't have to do that, but that's really sweet of you." He looked at the array of plushies once more, before an idea began to form within his mind. "I've got something for you too. Just close your eyes and hold out your hands for me, okay?"

Dusk nodded and closes his eyes, holding out his hands for Dynamo, while Broken watched on, still swelling with pride. All she could think of, was how lucky she was to have such a wonderful and thoughtful son.

Making sure that his son's eyes were closed, Dynamo quickly made his way over towards the intended gift, before making his way back over towards the young bat colt. He carefully placed the toy in his son's hands, before smiling at the thought of his son's reaction. "Okay. You can open your eyes now." Once Dusk would open his eyes, he would see a giant plush of a flying fox in his possession. It was the same size as his two plushies of Princess Luna. "Since you got me something wonderful. I was thinking of doing the same as I know how much you loved that flying fox at the petting zoo. This way, you'll be able to have your friend with you no matter where you go. This little bat will always be by your side. Just like your Auntie Luna has always has and will always be with you too." He would say, knowing that this would be an early gift for Dusky's birthday.

The moment Dusk opened his eyes, they widened and he would immediately hug Dynamo tightly "Thank you so much daddy, I love it" he would say, then hugging the plush. Broken smiles as they all go towards the cashier to purchase the gifts. After that and they get into the car, Broken buckles Dusk into his seat before looking to Dynamo, tears in her eyes "H-how..what did I do to deserve such a wonderful and thoughtful son?" it was clear the tears were of joy.

Dynamo grinned and chuckled as Dusk's reaction to the stuffed animal was spot on. He was tackled into a hug, before returning the embrace without a second though. "You're welcome and it's no trouble. You were such a kind and caring boy towards the animals. Plus, I know how much that flying fox mattered to you. I love you, my son." He picked up Dusk and held him in his arms. All the while, making his way over towards Broken as they went to purchase the gifts. After making their way back towards their car, Dynamo placed the bags into the trunk. He gave the flying fox plush to Dusk as he knew he wanted to snuggle the plush in his arms. After buckling Dusk back into his seat, Dynamo looked at Broken in concern. Seeing tears this eyes made him feel worried, before hearing her question. Knowing that they were tears of joy, Dynamo smiled as he pulled Broken into a tight hug. "What did you do? That's simple, really. You are such a kind, caring, smart, funny and a great individual. All the while, being a loving mother to help raise our son to be a kind and caring adult. After we met, I can only imagine that he learned to be so endearing. You've done a phenomenal job in raising him to be who he is today. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life and Dusky's life too. I love you, Broken." He pulled back from the hug and used his thumbs to wipe any stray tear away, before pulling the love of his life into a kiss.
